Apple is currently selling redemption codes for OS X 10.7 Lion and OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion. These two versions of the Apple’s operating systems are pretty cheap now - the price is only $20 for each one. That’s a good deal, I must admit.

Apple Releases iOS 7.0.3 with Numerous Improvenemts



After announcing the new iPad Air, iPad mini with Retina display, updated MacBooks, Mac Pros and the free OS X Mavericks yesterday, Apple decided to release iOS 7.0.3 that same evening. This minor update contains numerous bug fixes, safety improvements as well as a bunch of new features aimed to make the integration between Apple’s mobile and desktop operating systems even deeper. Moreover, there’re some enhancements that deal with iPhone 5s’ Touch ID sensor.

USA Today Claims that iOS 7 is Apple's "Most Troubled" Operating System



USA Today claimed on Thursday that iOS 7 is the "most troubled" if to compare it with older versions of the Apple’s mobile operating system. However, the journalists were unable to provide at least one expert's conclusion or independent testing result, so looks like such an article was aimed only to draw some attention from the newspaper readers, that’s all.

Apple Released OS X 10.9 Mavericks Server GM to Developers



Apple released OS X 10.9 Mavericks Server Golden Master to developers on Friday. This means that the company has finally finished working on the new operating system for Macs.

Friday's seed, dubbed build 13S440, comes a little over two weeks after Apple issued the final version of OS X 10.9 Mavericks to developers at the beginning of October.

With both the consumer and server versions of the next-generation Mac operating system seeded, it is anticipated that Apple will soon release Mavericks to the public.

The company from Cupertino still hasn’t set the launch date of OS X 10.9 Mavericks, however, the new OS is expected to be released on October 22nd along with the fifth generation iPad and iPad mini 2. Let’s wait.

Apple Asks Developers to Submit Apps for OS X Mavericks



Apple has asked its developers to submit applications compatible with new OS X Mavericks.

Make sure your app takes advantage of the great new features in OS X Mavericks when the world’s most advanced desktop operating system becomes available to millions of customers later this fall. Download OS X Mavericks GM seed and Xcode 5.0.1 GM seed, now available on the Mac Dev Center. Build your apps with these latest seeds, then test and submit them to the Mac App Store.

AppleCare staff is currently being trained on OS X Mavericks. As it has been announced earlier, the official release of the new OS X version will take place this fall, presumably on October 22nd, along with the new iPad launch.

New York Police Department Encourages People to Update to iOS 7



The New York City Police Department is asking people to upgrade to iOS 7. This is all due to its improved security and, among the rest - due to the ‘Activation Lock’ feature.

According to some police officials, the seventh version of the Apple’s mobile operating system is probably the most protected.

After months of pressure from a global coalition of elected officials and law enforcement agencies, we are pleased that Apple is set to release a new mobile operating system that includes a theft deterrent feature called Activation Lock. This is an important first step towards ending the global epidemic of smartphone theft.

Looks like the new iPhones are really worth purchasing devices.
