Apple's Shift to TSMC Caused Problems for Samsung



As you probably know, Apple’s iPhone 6 will feature a new A8 processor manufactured by Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company. According to what the Wall Street Journal reporters write, Apple’s collaboration with TSMC is hurting Apple’s main market rival Samsung, which used to produce processors for the previous generations of the iPhone and iPad.

Apple to Unveil iPhone 6 on September 9th?



Following the rumors that suggested that Apple will unveil its next-generation iPhone on October 14th, a new report from Re/code appeared online on Tuesday that denies such suggestions and says that the new handset will be released on September 9th. For several years in a row, September has been the month of the iPhone release and looks like the guys from Cupertino decided not to change the tradition. Bloomberg and the Wall Street Journal confirmed the date of the iPhone 6 launch.

According to what Bloomberg reporters write, the market giants have recently released a joint statement announcing an agreement to end all the patent disputes outside the United States of America in the near future. President Obama Has Signed Cell Phone Unlocking Bill



As it was expected, President Obama has signed the Unlocking Consumer Choice and Wireless Competition Act. The legislation, which successfully passed the US House of Representatives and the US Senate earlier this year, makes it legal for any user to unlock any smartphone purchased on the territory of the USA.

Apple to Release 3 Million iWatch Units This Year, Half with Glass Screens?



According to the latest reports from KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple will release only three million iWatch units this year. Moreover, because of the problems connected with the production of sapphire screens for the new wearable device, nearly half of the iWatch units may get glass screens instead of the sapphire ones.

Leaked Images Show Alleged iPhone 6 Home Buttons



A couple of new photos showing leaked parts for Apple’s next-generation iPhone have recently appeared online. This time the images depict something very similar to the home buttons for both 4.7-inch iPhone 6 and the 5.5-model nicknamed iPhone Air. As usual, the photos have been spotted on Nowhereelse.fr, that is why I think they are legitimate.

Russian Government Asks Apple to Hand Over iOS and OS X Source Code



Russian government has recently asked Apple to give local intelligence agencies the source code of its iOS and Mac OS X. According to what the authorities say, such a step is required to make sure that the company software is not used for government surveillance. Russian Communications Minister Nikolai Nikiforov was the person who met with Peter Engrob Nielsen, Apple's general manager in Russia last week and asked about the handover of the source code.
