Earlier this year, I told you about the talks between Apple and Japan Display concerning the possibility of investing money in the construction of a new factory capable of production of displays for next generations of iPhones and other smartphones. Looks like these talks were successful as Japan Display on Friday confirmed its plans to build the new factory. The sum of money required for the construction is reportedly equal to $1.4 billion, which goes in line with several previous rumors and reports. The only thing missing is the confirmation of Apple’s plans to invest money in this project. However, secrecy is a typical feature of the tech giant from Cupertino.

According to the latest report from people familiar with the matter, the long-anticipated Apple Watch, which is expected to be unveiled at “Spring Forward” media event scheduled for March 9th, will boast of improved battery, new notifications, 8GB of memory on board for storing music, Force Touch and other features.

Instead, insiders claim Apple will unveil its new creation at the annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in June. The service will use the technologies Apple obtained after acquiring Beats Music and will have a monthly fee of $7.99.
Apple to Ship 15.4 Million Apple Watch Units and Occupy 54.8% of Market This Year
According to the latest report from Strategy Analytics, the long-awaited Apple Watch may see the record-breaking sales this year. In particular, its market share may be equal to enormous 54.8% with 15.4 million units shipped. The analysts believe Apple’s sales will beat the sales of its rivals from Samsung, LG and other vendors combined. While it is only a report based on the estimates and people’s opinion, I must admit it looks quite realistic. iPad Pro Production to Start Only in September?
According to the latest report from Bloomberg, Apple has decided to halt the development of the 12.9-inch iPad Pro. Earlier this year, a rumor appeared on the Internet, which suggested that the mass-production of the tablet will start in the first quarter of 2015, however, looks like the supplier will begin assembling the device only in September. Such a delay is caused by problems with the supply of display panels for the device. Apple Became World's Largest Smartphone Maker in Q4 2014 - Gartner
According to the latest report from a research firm Gartner, in the fourth quarter of 2014 ending December, Apple managed to sell more smartphones than its main rival, Samsung. This allowed the company from Cupertino to become the largest smartphone maker in the world. As to the numbers, Apple sold as many as 74.8 million iPhone units and the South Korean manufacturer - 73 million smartphones. Apple got the market share of 20.4%, while the share of Samsung was equal to 19.9%.
Apple to Announce 12-inch MacBook Air on March 9th?
According to the rumor, which appeared on the Internet earlier this week, at its “Spring Forward” event scheduled for March, 9th, Apple may announce not only the long-anticipated Apple Watch, but also its completely revamped 12-inch MacBook Air with Retina display. While there’s no confirmation from Apple or its suppliers, the March release looks quite possible. Earlier this year, a reliable KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo claimed Apple may launch the new laptop in March.
