Apple Buys Former Semiconductor Plant, Possibly for R&D





According to the latest report from people familiar with the matter, Apple has recently purchased a former semiconductor plant in North San Jose. The price of the enormous 70,000 square foot building is $18.2 million. The acquisition has been officially confirmed by an Apple representative.

iPhone Sales to Drop Next Year - Morgan Stanley Analyst



According to the latest report from Morgan Stanley analyst Katy Huberty, the iPhone sales may drop next year for the first time ever. The number of iPhones sold in fiscal 2016 may fall by about 6% and make only 218 million units. The calendar 2016 may demonstrate the 2.9% fall and 247 million iPhone units sold to customers.

Samsung Galaxy S7 to Feature Pressure-Sensitive Display and Other New Features



According to the latest report from The Wall Street Journal, both Samsung Galaxy S7 and Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge will feature a pressure-sensitive display similar to the one iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus have. Moreover, new flagship devices may be equipped with new USB-C posts supporting fast charging as well as better cameras optimized for low-light photography. On top of that, the South Korean tech giant is reportedly planning to add a retina scanner to the next generation of its premium smartphones. In terms of design, both handsets are expected to resemble the Galaxy S6.

Apple Reduces Price of iPhone 5s by Nearly Half in India



In an attempt to lure more customers and make Apple products more popular, Apple has just reduced the iPhone 5s price in India by nearly a half. Previously, the iPhone 5s price was equal to 44,500 Rupees (about $665) and currently customers can get it for 24,999 Rupees (about $370), which is a good discount.

iOS 9.2 Should Permanently Fix Unresponsive iPad Pro Issues - Apple



As it was already mentioned on our website, Apple on Tuesday officially released iOS 9.2 to users worldwide. The latest update features a number of important bug fixes and improvements for Safari, Mail and Apple Music and is available for all users of compatible iPhones, iPads and iPod touch units. One can upgrade to iOS 9.2 either through iTunes for Mac or Windows, or use the OTA update, which should be available through the Settings app.

Apart from the enhancements mentioned in our previous post, it turns out that Apple has also fixed the issue causing iPad Pro unresponsiveness after charging. Previously, a special support page suggested that the company was investigating the issue, while now that same page indicates that “updating your iPad Pro to iOS 9.2 or later” should fix everything.
