Apple Quietly Removes Original iPad mini from Online Store



Apple has earlier this week quietly removed the original iPad mini from its online store. This means that it is not possible to purchase this device directly from Apple’s virtual marketplace anymore. In case you don’t know, the smaller version of the iPad was released in 2012 and could boast of the 7.9-inch display, Apple A5 processor, 512MB of RAM and 5-megapixel camera. Frankly speaking, it’s high time the guys from Cupertino removed this device from the store. You see, there are currently two other iPad mini models that are more powerful and efficient.

Apple Sold 2.79 Million Apple Watch Units - Slice Intelligence



According to the latest report from a research firm Slice Intelligence, Apple has sold about 2.79 million Apple Watch units since the launch of the device this April. The estimates made by the researchers are based on the mail receipts from two million users. As noted by Slice Intelligence, out of these two million people, nearly 20.000 have purchased the long-awaited wearable device. Moreover, 17% of the customers have decided to buy an additional band for the smartwatch. That’s definitely not bad for Apple.

Next-Generation iPhone May Get 7000 Series Aluminum Body



According to the latest report from a usually reliable KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple’s next-generation iPhone may get a body made out of 7000 Series aluminum. In case you don’t know, this is the material used in the Apple Watch Sport. This alloy is 60% stronger than usual aluminum, however, it is just the same in weight.

New Vulnerability Found That Allows to Steal Any App Password from iOS and OS X



According to the latest report from security researchers, Apple’s OS X and iOS have a vulnerability that allows hackers to steal passwords from all the applications installed on a device. The report comes from a reliable source, The Register, that is why I think we can believe it. This software bug affects not only those apps that are installed from the App Store or other sources, but even the native apps like Mail. What is interesting is that the vulnerability was first found in October 2014. This means that the guys from Cupertino either ignore or have difficulties in fixing the problem.

Apple on Monday seeded the sixth beta of OS X Yosemite 10.10.4 to developers for testing. The release took place in about a week after the release of the fifth beta and nearly two months after the debut of the very first testing build of OS X 10.10.4. Apple May Make watchOS Even Better This Fall



As you probably know, the guys from Cupertino are currently working on the new version of watchOS for the Apple Watch. The next iteration of the operating system for Apple’s wearable device will boast two serious improvements, namely, the ability to connect to known Wi-Fi hotspots without the iPhone and new push complications. Of course, Apple will add lots of stability, security and performance enhancements, but the two features mentioned above are surely the most awaited. Leaked Images Show Unreleased Microsoft Moonraker Smartwatch



Several interesting images have recently appeared on the Internet. These images show us the cancelled smartwatch developed by Nokia last year. This wearable device could have become a potential Apple Watch rival, however, after Microsoft’s acquisition of Nokia, the development of the smartwatch was stopped. Apple Releases iOS 8.4 Beta 4 with Fixes and Improvements



Apple has recently seeded the fourth iOS 8.4 beta to developers for testing.
