Apple has just released one more iOS 10.2 beta to developers. This is the seventh pre-release version of the firmware that contains a number of bug fixes and under-the-hood improvements. It’s unknown why Apple has released so many minor updates to iOS 10.2, but most likely the company is trying to ensure all known issues are fixed.

Apple Denies iPhone Battery Explosion Issues in China



A Chinese consumer group called the Shanghai Consumer Council has reported about 8 cases of the iPhone 6 battery catching fire due to manufacturing fault. Apple denied such claims saying that all of the devices it received for inspection had signs of physical damage. The company offered the users of damaged iPhones repairs, but obviously, these repairs won’t be free.

Galaxy S8 Won’t Have Headphone Jack – Rumor



According to the latest report from people familiar with the matter, Samsung is planning to ditch the headphone jack in the upcoming Galaxy S8. The company reportedly plans to make the device thinner, include a larger battery and add stereo speakers. Apple Testing New Photos Web App on iCloud



Apple is currently testing a redesigned Photos web app on the iCloud website. The application is nearly identical to the one on macOS Sierra and includes similar sidebar for frequently used items as well as the same layout of images. This section of iCloud is available only for those who use the iCloud Photo Library. You can turn it on in the Settings menu of your device.

Foxconn Manager Has Stolen 5,700 iPhones and Sold Them for $1.5M



A Foxconn manager allegedly working in the testing unit of the factory has been accused of stealing 5,700 iPhone units and selling them for about $1.56 million. He instructed his employees working along with him at the factory in Shenzhen to steal several thousands on iPhone 5 and iPhone 5s units. The devices were illegally sold during 2013-2014. The manager’s name is reportedly Tsai.

Sudden iPhone 6s Shutdowns Are Caused by Mistake in Battery Manufacture

Apple has released iOS 10.2 beta 5 to developers for testing purposes. The latest update has a build number 14C89 and features a number of bug fixes and improvements, mostly for the new TV app that should replace the Videos app. Apple has also added some new wallpapers to the latest version of firmware.
