New iPhone 7 Plus Images Show Smart Connector, Dual Camera and New Antenna Bands





New interesting and rather controversial images have been posted online by the French website Nowhereelse.fr earlier today. The photos show the back panel from the alleged iPhone 7 Plus or Pro that features something similar to the cutouts for the Smart Connector. Apart from that, one can see an opening for the rumored dual lens camera and new antenna bands. In general, the leaked panel is similar to the iPhone 7 rear shells we have seen before, but is obviously larger. Whether the panel features a headphone jack is unknown, but possibly not.

Mac Shipments Continue to Decline - IDC Report



According to the latest report from IDC, Apple’s computer shipments decreased in the second quarter of 2015. Due to this fact, the company has fallen to the fifth place in the ranking of worldwide PC shipments. Apple’s market share is now equal to 7.1%, down from 7.4% one year ago, and the number of Macs sold to customers worldwide accounted for 4,42 million units, down from 4,82 million units in 2015. The global PC market also experienced a decline of 4.5%. The shipments were equal to 64 million units.

14.8% of iPhone Owners Plan to Upgrade to iPhone 7 [Survey]



According to the results of the recent survey conducted by a Piper Jaffray analyst Gene Munster, 14.8% of current iPhone owners plan to upgrade to the iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus once it comes out and 29% more may do this if they find the device attractive and worth an upgrade. The results of the survey are quite optimistic for Apple provided that most customers have no idea of what the next-generation phone may be as there is no official information about that.

New Photo iPhone 7 Rear Panel Spotted Online



A new high-resolution photo showing the alleged iPhone 7 back panel has recently appeared on the Internet. The leaked image lets us take a closer look at the redesigned antenna bands and larger camera cutout. To be honest, the photo is similar if not identical to all previous photos we have seen over the last couple of weeks, but it lacks the certification information and the iPhone branding, which appear only on those components that enter the actual production.

Apple Settles Cover Flow and Time Machine Lawsuit for $25 Million



Apple has agreed to pay a firm called Mirror World Technologies, which is a Network-1 subsidiary, $25 million to settle the lawsuit and license the patents that describe a system that is capable of storing the files in a kind of chronologically ordered layout. Apple uses a similar system in Time Machine and Cover Flow and this infringes on the 1999 patent granted.

iPhone Ranked 5th Most Selling Smartphone in China



Apple’s business in China is not going well even though the company continues to invest in this market. According to the latest report shared by Bloomberg, the Cupertino tech giant has recently lost more than 1% of the smartphone market share in this country. The iPhone is currently the fifth top-selling smartphone with a share of 10.8%, which is down from 12% in 2015. The first place in the ranking is taken by Huawei, with other members of the top-five list including Vivo, Oppo, and Xiaomi.

Apple Releases Update to Apple Music App for Android Users



Apple has released an update to the Apple Music app for Android users. The update contains fixes for the music playback and playlists issues as well as a number of minor stability and performance enhancements. If you use Apple Music on your Android phone or tablet, you can install the latest version using the software update option on your device. The current version of the application is 0.9.11, it is compatible with Android 4.3 or higher.

WHAT'S NEW

This update resolves a playback issue where songs skip over the first two seconds of music. It also fixes an issue where albums added to a playlist appear in an unexpected order.

New CAD Renders Show iPhone 7/7 Plus Back Panel [Images]



New images showing the iPhone 7 CAD renders have been recently shared by a French website Nowhereelse.fr. First spotted on of the Chinese social networks, the photos go in line with the latest rumors and show a larger cutout for the enhanced camera, dual speakers, lack of the headphone jack and the redesigned antenna bands. There is also a separate image that depicts an opening for the dual camera that may become an exclusive feature of the larger iPhone 7 Plus or Pro.

iPhone 7 to Get 32GB of Base Storage?

Take a Look at This New iPhone 7 Spy Photo



A new alleged iPhone 7 photo has been recently spotted on the Internet. This time the image was posted on the website called techtastic.nl that has been correct in the past. The latest photo is quite similar to all previous leaks and shows a redesigned and slightly larger camera as well as new antenna bands. The handset depicted below apparently lacks the headphone jack, however, because of the poor quality of the photo we can’t be totally sure the 3.5mm connector is indeed missing. In general, the photograph goes in line with all current rumors and reports from reliable insiders.
