New iPhones Are Less Popular Among Former Android Users Than Expected
According to the latest survey results published by a research firm Consumer Intelligence Research Partners (CIRP), both iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are not as popular among Android switchers as they were expected to be. In fact, the amount of former Android users who decided to purchase Apple's handset this year is nearly two times smaller if to compare with 2013. Just look: 12% and 23%. I must admit, the difference is immense. What is even more interesting is that the number of Windows Phone or Blackberry switchers turned out to be smaller in 2014 as well; more people decided to upgrade to the iPhone 5s last year and not to the iPhone 6 or 6 Plus this year. This means that about 80% of the new iPhone buyers are former iPhone owners.

iPhone LTE Speed Test: iPhone 6 vs. iPhone 5s [Video]
Apple claims the iPhone 6 has 'Faster LTE': "With faster LTE — up to 150 Mbps — iPhone 6 users can experience faster download and upload speeds for browsing the web, streaming music, making video calls, and more." During the iPhone 6 keynote, Apple SVP Phil Schiller revealed that these speeds are possible through a technology called carrier aggregation. The new iPhone 6 uses Qualcomm MDM9625M LTE Category 4 modem chip which offers up to 150 Mbps downlink data rates and 50 Mbps uplink data rates. Let's take a look if this is actually any faster than the previous iPhone 5S.
iClarified did a quick test. They have found the spot with the absolute best reception possible. Testing was done late at night, when network usage is lower. The speeds are actually amazing.
iPhone 6 showed 100 Mbps download speed and 35 Mbps upload, while iPhone 5S - 35 Mbps and 15 Mbps respectively. Impressive, isn't it.

Apple Launches iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus in 22 More Countries
As it was previously announced, Apple is today launching its iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus in 22 new countries. It is strange, but looks like the guys from Cupertino have enough handsets to cope with the demand in these countries. What do I mean by the word strange? Well, last year the initial batch of the iPhone 5s units was significantly smaller and that caused delays in shipping handsets to customers. This year everything is different.

iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus Fail Drop Tests
Immediately after the start of sales of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus in several countries, first drop and crash tests began to appear on the Internet. The bad news is that both handsets are not doing well in these ultimate durability tests. While they somehow manage to remain intact when dropped on the side and back, they have no chances when dropped on the face. The smaller iPhone seems to demonstrate slightly better results, but in general, both handsets can’t be called the strongest devices on the market. Take a look at the video and you will understand what I mean.
