Valve Launched Counter-Strike: Global Offensive on the Mac

The latest version of Valve’s flagship game Counter-Strike – one of the best-selling gaming titles for PC – has become available for the Mac platform via Steam. Global Offensive, the fourth title in the Counter-Strike series, has seen over 27 million units sold during its lifetime. This is the second time (the first was Portal 2) Valve has released a flagship title simultaneously on the PC and the Mac.

Possible Photo of 'iPad Mini' Dock Connector Flex Cable

Nowhereelse.fr obtained and posted a new photo of what it believes may be a flex cable component for the "iPad mini", housing Apple's smaller dock connector, the headphone jack, and the home button connector. But the photo is pretty similar to that one that was posted back in May, revealing a part said to be for the next-generation iPhone.

Apple's new mini Dock Connector to feature 9-pin

A mini Dock Connector expected to be introduced alongside Apple's so-called iPhone 5 next month will spot 9 official points of contact and takes design cues from the company's patented MagSafe adapters. According to people familiar with the matter, new mini Dock Connector will deliver enhancements in I/O connectivity in addition to comprising roughly 60% less real estate and orientation independence when plugged into any one of Apple's future iOS devices.

Pre-Orders for Next-Generation iPhone to Begin September 12

New information from iMore, one of the first to claim that Apple will be holding its media event to introduce the next-generation iPhone on September 12, points Apple will start taking pre-orders for its sixth-generation iPhone on September  12 following a special event announcing the device ahead of the already-rumored first wave of launches on September 21. Apple's first launch wave typically includes the United States.

13-Inch Retina MacBook Pro Once Again Shows Up in Benchmarks

A month ago Geekbench posted results of the benchmark tests with the presence of a "MacBookPro10,2" entry in database, suggesting that a 13-inch version of the Retina MacBook Pro is indeed in the works. As far as you know, the newest 15-inch Retina MacBook Pro carries a "MacBookPro10,1" identifier.

Photos of rumored next-gen iPhone display shielding surface

iColorOS (via Nowhereelse.fr) posted on Thursday more photos of the alleged next-generation iPhone parts, showing the protective glass cover, internal sensors and external buttons like the volume rocker, but the most interesting piece is a thin sheet of metal seemingly intended to be a protective shielding for the 4-inch screen's back.

Court documents allegedly show Samsung copied iPhone icons

A new portion of the documents presented to the court by Apple as a part of the legal battle between Apple and Samsung show Samsung's proprietary home-screen icon designs are nearly identical to that of the iPhone's. As far as you know, Apple registered the most part of their icons as trademarks in 2010 that means that Apple accuses Samsung of another infringement of the iPhone-maker’s patents.

Claimed SIM Tray for Next-Generation iPhone 5

New photos of the next-generation iPhone 5 SIM tray have surface online, claiming Apple’s plans to introduce a more compact "nano-SIM" standard alongside this year's iPhone launch. The photos of the empty SIM tray, published over at Nowhereelse.fr, reveal a design that will command roughly 40 percent less internal space when compared to existing micro-SIM cards. Sized roughly a third smaller than existing MicroSIM cards found inside current iPads and iPhones, the so-called nano-SIM design was reportedly modified back in May to address objections on the part of rival handset maker Nokia.

More Early iPhone and iPad Prototype Designs Surfaced

AllThingsD has now put together a gallery of dozens of images of the early iPhone and iPad prototype designs from the court documents revealed during the ongoing lawsuit between Apple and Samsung.

Among the many filings on Saturday was a document with dozens of sketches and prototypes for both the iPhone and iPad. Some had already been included in earlier filings, but Saturday’s collection was particularly extensive.

More Rumors of Late September iPhone Launch with Details on iPad Mini, 4th-Gen iPad

iLounge says that Apple will be ready to ship the new iPhone by mid-September and could launch the device during the third week of the month. Apple is also going to introduce a pair of official cases for the new iPhone, including one that is similar to the current bumper and a second that would have a "major impact" on accessory makers. As for the iPod touch and iPod nano, iLounge believes that a new iPod touch will have a 4-inch display and will be making an appearance at the same event as the new iPhone.
