Mac Pro Ship Times Improve to 3-5 Business Days



Good news for all those who plan to buy a new Mac Pro. For the first time since its debut in December, the ship times have fallen to 3-5 business days. What this means is that if you purchase a completely redesigned Mac Pro now, it will be shipped to you in less than one week, not a month as it was earlier. Looks like the guys from Cupertino managed to overcome the manufacturing difficulties and now are working as were supposed to.

Apple to Restrict Retail Employee Vacation Time in September



The company from Cupertino is reportedly planning to restrict vacation time for its German retail employees in September. The only possible reason for such a decision is the launch of a new product or products. Aside from German employees, people working at Apple's retail stores in a number of other countries will get the same restricted vacations. Microsoft Reports 27 Million Office for iPad Downloads

Samsung Becomes Top iPad Display Supplier



This may sound strange, but according to the latest report from usually reliable market research firm DisplaySearch, Samsung managed to become Apple's main iPad display panel supplier in the first quarter of 2014. The South Korean company produced as many as 5.2 million 9.7-inch Retina displays, which were used in the iPad Air and the fourth generation iPad.

Apple Acquires Beats Electronics - Rumor



Apple may soon acquire Beats Electronics, the headphone manufacturer and the company behind one of the most popular streaming music services. The Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg and The New York Times have confirmed that Apple is currently in talks with Beats Electronics. If the two companies come to an agreement, the acquisition will be announced next week.
