Apple to Start Working on Its Own Payment Service?



According to recent rumors, the company from Cupertino is currently planning to develop its own mobile payment service. Taking into account the fact that most of the iTunes Store accounts already have credit cards attached to them, a new payment method can become a convenient way to conduct financial transactions between customers and Apple.

Capture Slow-Motion Videos Using Slo-mo Mod - New Cydia Tweak



A new tweak has recently appeared on Cydia that lets you use your iPhone 5 or iPod touch to capture slow motion videos, even though these devices are believed to not support a slow motion mode. The tweak is called Slo-mo Mod and it is available for free on BigBoss repo.

Apple Releases OS X Mavericks 10.9.2 Beta 3 to Developers



Apple has released OS X Mavericks 10.9.2 beta 3 to developers for testing. As to the improvements, this version looks pretty much the same as the one released about a week ago. Apple asks developers to focus on SMB2, Mail, Messages, Graphics Drivers, VoiceOver, and VPN.

Apple Finalizes iPhone 6 Design - Rumor



Looks like Apple has finally finalized the design of its iPhone 6 that is expected to be released this year. It will get a 4.8-inch display and 802.11ac Wi-Fi connectivity. At least this is what one of the Wall Street experts claims. I must say that such predictions seem to be quite plausible.

iPhone 5s Users Seem to be ‘Hungriest’ Data Consumers



According to the study that was recently conducted by a research firm JDSU, iPhone 5s users seem to be the ‘hungriest’ data consumers if compared to owners of nearly 150 other devices in both developed and developing markets across the world. This is a huge improvement, especially if to compare the amount of data downloaded by iPhone 5, 5s and 5c owners to the results of iPhone 3G several years ago.

Phil Schiller Tweets Links to Security Report Criticizing Google's Android



Apple executive Phil Schiller has recently tweeted a link to a Cisco research report showing that a huge part of mobile malware - about 79% - is developed specifically for Android devices. This means that this operating system is less secure and stable than all the other.

iPad Air Takes Major Tablet Spot in the USA in December



Apple’s iPad Air has taken a top tablet spot in December in the USA. More than 40% of all Apple tablets sold during the holiday season were iPad Airs, reports research firm Consumer Intelligence Research Partners. Anyway, these are only the estimates.

iOS 7.1b4 Blocks Kernel Exploit Used In Evasi0n iOS 7 Jailbreak



Do not expect iOS 7.1 jailbreak soon. Apple has reportedly blocked the kernel exploit used by the evasi0n 7 jailbreak utility. According to iH8sn0w the exploit was blocked in the recent iOS 7.1b4 firmware:

So the code sign bug that evasi0n7 uses still exists in 7.1b4. Kernel exploit looks patched though :P

meaning… Don’t expect an evasi0n7 update for 7.1b4+ support.

First Leaked Screenshots of iOS in the Car



iOS Developer Steven Troughton-Smith has successfully activated the iOS in the Car feature inside the iOS Simulator. iOS in the Car allows an iOS 7 users to connect their iPhones, iPads and iPods to their car’s built-in center console display to use Apple Maps, read Messages, make phone calls, and control music. References to the feature and functionality has actually been tucked into iOS 7 since the very first beta. Apple is expected to launch iOS in the Car system later this year, maybe alongside iOS 7.1. Apple Releases iOS 7.1 Beta 4 to Developers



Apple released iOS 7.1 beta 4 to developers on Tuesday. The new iOS version contains a number of performance improvements and a fix for the message sending issue. As to the other notable enhancements, these are only ‘slide to unlock’ and ‘slide to power off’ texts, which seem to be tweaked a bit.
