Twitter app for both OS X and iOS got the update recently. The new version can boast of a truly unique and noticeable feature – direct message syncing. What that means is that when you read a DM using official website or the Twitter clients for Mac OS X, iOS, Android, Windows Phone or whatever else platform, this message would be automatically marked as already read on any other device. Well, I’m new to Twitter and I’ve been using it for only about a week, but I do understand what a great feature the developers have embedded to the app. Every day I waste much time on scrolling through the messages I’ve already seen to reach the newer ones.
According to the latest rumors, we shall see another iPad – the fifth one – this very autumn. Apart from that, iPad mini may be upgraded as well, Apple suppliers claim.
Before 2012, one could get a 100$ discount on HP Printer when buying a Mac. The promotion stopped when printers became less popular and customers switched to digital access of documents through portable devices.
Now Apple is revitalizing the HP Printers promotion program and offers instant discount on 5 Printer models. The discount varies from 10$ to 70$.
Apart from this sales booster, Apple gives such incentives 50$ or 100$ gift card to be used in iTunes Store/App Store for educational customers when buying an iPhone/iPad or a new Mac.

Nobody can now blame Apple for being greedy or reserved company as today it has made a bunch of most popular iOS games available for free. According to The Verge, whose reporters were the first to notice the incredible discounts earlier this Monday, making such apps as Infinity Blade II, Superbrothers: Sword and Sworcery EP, Where's My Water?, Badland and Tiny Wings as well as Traktor DJ, Day One, Over and Barefoot World Atlas free, Apple marks the fifth anniversary from the time the App Store was launched.
A few days ago the most popular game for iOS-devices – Angry Birds – has been updated. Apart from stability improvements and bug fixes, there’re some unique features you’d certainly be interested in. So let’s have a look at them.
The PayPal Here app for iPad has just got the update. From now on, one can sort products and split them into categories, create lists of particular items and do a lot of other things.

This weekend could have been long and tedious for me, however, a few days ago an event has happened that prevented me from getting bored. Those who love iOS games can share my happiness – Colin McRae Rally is now available on AppStore for only $1.99. The rally game, which once was extremely popular on PC and PlayStation, has now moved to iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. Is it worth purchasing? Let’s find out. But before that, here’s the official teaser.
Looks like Apple has hired a new guy responsible for all kinds of graphics and the way Apple gadgets look. At first he paints new ‘cheap’ iPhones red, green and yellow, then completely redesigns iOS 7 and after that persuades the executives to register a new FaceTime logo, which he likes immensely, as a trademark.
Well, there’re probably some other reasons for all that to happen, of course, but it really seems that Apple is currently centered primarily on the appearance – in addition to the things mentioned above, it has released a new poster commemorating the fifth anniversary of AppStore, Tim Bradshaw of Financial Times reports.
iPad was reportedly ranked as the best device on South Korean market. According to South Korea's National Customer Satisfaction Index, Apple tablets are more preferred among the customers than the Samsung and LG ones.
The detailed rankings were published by Kim Tae Woo (BetaNews) soon after the official release, made by South Korean Ministry of Knowledge Economy, which runs the whole research program.
iOS products are used to being outnumbered by Android, although Apple manages to become a market leader in advertisement sector. According to a recent study, Apple controls 75% of mobile ads market.
The share of Android is diminishing, as Samsung’s Galaxy S smartphones are delivering hardly any impressions.
Ad firm Velti studied the mobile advertising market of Apple and Android, comparing figures of May 2013 to findings from 2012. The share ofCupertinocompany grew by 5%, from 59% to 64%. Whereas Android decreased its presence on the market by 5% to 36%, despite its domination of smartphone shipments. The figures of dynamics are the same, but Android loss cannot be referred to by Apple’s increase in share.
According to Wall Street Journal, Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing (TSMC) has agreed to supply Apple with A-series chips. Although the matter has been discussed since 2010, the deal was only signed this month, and TSMC starts producing some of the chips in 2014. By that time, the Taiwan company will improve the quality of the products so that they meet Apple’s requirements. The chips will become smaller and more energy efficient by using 20-nanometre technology.
When negotiating the deal, the American company offered either to invest in TSMC or to assign one factory as an exclusive Apple supplier. However, the Taiwan company did not accept either of the options to keep TSMC independent and adaptable.
Samsung used to be Apple’s main A-series chips supplier, but present ferocious competition between the companies is forcing the latter to diminish its dependence on the Korean company.
