European Carriers Stockpiling Nano-SIMs Ahead iPhone 5 launch
Financial Times reports that European carriers have begun stockpiling the new nano-SIMs ahead the launch of the next-generation iPhone that will use the new standard.
Operators expect that the iPhone will feature the nano sim in a slimmed down design, according to two sources with knowledge of the situation, and have begun to store millions of the cards in warehouses in anticipation of high demand for Apple’s iPhone. Apple declined to comment.
Apple Released Beta 3 Of iOS 6 And Rolled Out @icloud.com Email Addresses
Today Apple released the beta 3 of iOS 6 to developers. The new mobile operation system is expected to launch “this fall”, probably along with the new iPhone in the September-October timeframe.
The beta 3, which comes as Build 10A5355d, arrived three weeks after the release of previous version for developers of Build 10A5338d.

Apple Threatened With Suspension Of Italian Sales Over Warranty Concerns
Back in December of 2011 we reported that Italian antitrust regulator forced Apple to pay a $1,2 million fine for misleading practices related to warranty terms disclosure. The regulator claimed that Apple mislead customers by selling standard one-year AppleCare warranty without properly informing consumers of a two-year warranty that is required by European Union law.
Apple looking into 3D iOS UI elements based on ambient light
Buzzfeed reports that an unnamed Apple employee said that a future version of Apple's iOS could employ unique graphical user interface features that use input from a mobile device's ambient light sensor to cast shadows on app icons thus creating the illusion of a three-dimensional workspace and bringing more realism to the mobile operating system.

Although Apple’s new MacBook Pro offer Retina display with a resolution of 2880x1800 pixels, the display options don’t allow users to run their operating systems at full resolution. Foxconn may buy more Sharp shares, fueling Apple television rumors
Foxconn Chairman Terry Gou revealed at his company's annual meeting on Monday that the company is now in talks with Sharp to buy more their shares. Foxconn is Apple's primary manufacturing partner, responsible for assembling devices like the iPhone, iPad and Macs. And Sharp is already a major display supplier for Apple, including Retina displays for the new iPad. That is why it’s not surprisingly that these rumors once again revive speculation that their alliance could play a key role in Apple's rumored television set.

The U.S. Patent and Trademark Offices published on Thursday an Apple patent filing which details a system that could notify other users of preferred methods of communication based on their current network status and relative signal strength. Determining which methods of communication are available, the system simplifies the decision whether to call, text message, FaceTime or iMessage another user.
