A man broke into Springfield wireless store, stole several iPhones and ran away. Seems to be a perfect crime, huh? It could have been such, unless the robber left his own Samsung Galaxy at the crime scene.

Hi-Tech Mail reports that Beeline will not be renewing its contract with Apple. Beeline is the last of Russian carriers who make such a decision. Beeline is planning to offer Samsung devices instead of iPhones.
Last month Apple established an online store for Russia; it was high time Cupertino Company did it. Now that three major Russian carriers are not working with Apple any more, its remaining contract with Svyasnoy will not be a good sell.

IGZO Displays for iPad - Why Not?
Apple is said to use Sharp or LG IGZO displays for the next generations of MacBook and iPad starting next year. Enhanced performance of those screens alongside with lover energy consumption are two main reasons for such a shift. As to the technology itself, here’s what I managed to learn from Wikipedia:
Apple conspires to raise e-books price
On the 20th June US District Judge Denise Cote ruled that Apple conspired to raise the retail prices of e-books, says Reuters report. The publishers Macmillan and Penguin, names co-defendants, set the price of each book and gave the seller a 30% cut instead of using traditional wholesale models.
According to Eddy Cue, Apple's SVP of Internet Software and Services, the prices for iBookstore have grown due to inflation. The statement does not help Apple much, especially when Mr. Cue is considered the head of the conspiracy.

Twitter for iOS and Mac Updated
Twitter app for both OS X and iOS got the update recently. The new version can boast of a truly unique and noticeable feature – direct message syncing. What that means is that when you read a DM using official website or the Twitter clients for Mac OS X, iOS, Android, Windows Phone or whatever else platform, this message would be automatically marked as already read on any other device. Well, I’m new to Twitter and I’ve been using it for only about a week, but I do understand what a great feature the developers have embedded to the app. Every day I waste much time on scrolling through the messages I’ve already seen to reach the newer ones.

Apple's Poster to Commemorate the Fifth AppStore Birthday
Looks like Apple has hired a new guy responsible for all kinds of graphics and the way Apple gadgets look. At first he paints new ‘cheap’ iPhones red, green and yellow, then completely redesigns iOS 7 and after that persuades the executives to register a new FaceTime logo, which he likes immensely, as a trademark.
Well, there’re probably some other reasons for all that to happen, of course, but it really seems that Apple is currently centered primarily on the appearance – in addition to the things mentioned above, it has released a new poster commemorating the fifth anniversary of AppStore, Tim Bradshaw of Financial Times reports.
