Apple’s ‘Slide to Unlock’ Patents Acknowledged Invalid in Germany
Apple’s patents covering the ‘slide to unlock' feature are invalid in Germany. The Federal Court of Appeals in Karlsruhe has recently ruled that the aforementioned feature is similar to the feature introduced in the phone released by a Swedish company Neonode back in 2006 and thus can’t be covered with a separate patent. According to the latest report from Reuters reporters, this decision reaffirms the same ruling made by the Federal Patent Court in 2013.

If you have a jailbroken iPhone, iPad or iPod touch, make sure you don’t upgrade to iOS 8.4.1 accidentally. Although it seems that this version is jailbreakable, currently there are no tools capable of hacking devices with IOS 8.4.1 on board. If you try jailbreaking your device and then something goes wrong, you will have to restore to iOS 8.4.1, not iOS 8.4.
Apple Announces iSight Camera Replacement Program for iPhone 6 Plus
As it turns out, some iPhone 6 Plus units may have faulty iSight cameras. According to Apple, there’s a small percentage of devices with components inside that may fail by themselves making the photos taken with the help of the iPhone 6 Plus look blurry. Because of the problem, the guys from Cupertino have just launched a special replacement program. Users with faulty iPhones may have their devices repaired for free.

iPhone Market Share and Sales Continue to Grow - Gartner
According to the latest report from a research firm Gartner, global iPhone sales grew 36% year-on-year. Quite obviously, the market share grew as well if to compare with the same quarter of the last year. Apple has just announced that it will organize something called 'Apple Music Festival' this September. The festival, formerly known as the iTunes Festival, will take place from September 19 to September 28.
New OS X Vulnerability Allows Hackers Gain Root Access Without Password
A developer from Italy named Luca Todesco has recently discovered a new zero-day vulnerability, which lets hackers gain root access in OS X Yosemite without using a password. This vulnerability is similar to the DYLD_PRINT_TO_FILE exploit that has been patched in OS X Yosemite 10.10.5. The developer has reported the vulnerability to Apple, however, it hasn’t been fixed by the guys from Cupertino in the latest update. I honestly hope that Apple developers will react somehow and close a hole in OS X security as soon as possible.

According to the latest data accidentally shared by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), the guys from Cupertino are planning to release the updated versions of Bluetooth Magic Mouse and Wireless Keyboard later this year. Foxconn has recently decided to invest $5 billion on the construction of a new manufacturing facility in India.
