A hacker group called Pangu has just released an untethered jailbreak of iOS 9.1. It’s available for both Windows and Mac users. As you know, iOS 9.1 was released in October, so it’s actually high time someone hacked this version of Apple’s mobile operating system.

Closing Apps Won’t Help Your Battery Last Longer



Apple’s Senior Vice President of Software Engineering Craig Federighi replied to the user named Caleb about whether the iPhone battery life improves when you regularly close apps on your device or not. Originally it was a question to Apple CEO Tim Cook, but Mr. Federighi explained in a short form that this move will not help at all.

iPhone Display Size May Increase to 5.8-Inches



DigiTimes, a reliable Taiwanese newspaper, reports that Apple has plans to increase the size of the larger iPhone to 5.8 inches. This change may happen in 2018, although some sources expect it to be accomplished even in 2017.

6,500 Users Have Downloaded Virus from Transmission



As it was reported yesterday, a new ransomware virus has recently infected Mac computers. In case you missed our previous article, it was spread through the program called Transmission. Those who downloaded the infected installer, ended up having a virus blocking access to the sensitive data on their machines.

Samsung Galaxy S7 Shows Better Benchmark Results Than iPhone 6s



A popular benchmark app AnTuTu made a comparison of 10 most popular chips in smartphones. Qualcomm’s 820 model that is used in the new Samsung Galaxy S7 has achieved the best results. The second place belongs to Apple’s A9 processor.

Yesterday, YouTube channel SuperSaf TV released a video where two smartphones, namely, the Samsung Galaxy S7 and iPhone 6s Plus were compared in a speed test. The results of the test are quite surprising. Intel Will Produce LTE Chips for iPhone 7



Srini Pajjuri, who works as an analyst at CLSA Securities, has reported that Intel will produce LTE chips for Apple’s new iPhone 7. Moreover, he says that Intel will supply up to 40 percent of cellular modems for the iPhone.

Samsung Galaxy S7 and iPhone 6S Tested in Water



YouTube channel EverythingApplePro released an interesting video a couple of days ago. People behind the channel decided to test Samsung’s new smartphone Galaxy S7 Edge and the iPhone 6S in a plastic reservoir filled with water to see if they can get some unexpected results.

According to Samsung, their Galaxy S7 is fully waterproof in accordance with the IP68 standard. Unlike the previous models, the S7 is supposed to work normally after being held in the water for 30 minutes and can be put up to 1,5 meters deep.

Moreover, the company claims to use not only outside waterproof coverage, but inside as well. It means that even USB ports and the headphone jack will work absolutely fine after you drop the smartphone in the water.
