Ming-Chi Kuo Confirms Rumors About Early-2016 Launch of New 4-inch iPhone





KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has recently confirmed earlier reports from other reliable insiders and claimed Apple is planning to release a 4-inch iPhone similar to the iPhone 5s in terms of design in early 2016. Unlike other sources, however, Kuo believes the new handset will be equipped with an efficient A9 processor manufactured by Samsung and Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC), not the A8X chip. Other details about the upcoming gadget include NFC, metal body with at least two or three color options, same camera as in the iPhone 5s and a price tag of $400-500.

More Buyers Opt for Larger iPhones, More Android Users Switch to iPhones - CIRP



According to a research firm Consumer Intelligence Research Partners (CIRP), 37% of iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus buyers have purchased the 5.5-inch model. If to compare the results of this year with those of 2014, we may see that the number of users choosing the iPhone with a larger display has grown substantially over the past 12 months. Last year, 25% of customers decided to purchase the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 Plus, so the increase is equal to 12%.

If to speak about the number of users who switched from rival platforms, Google’s Android in particular, it has changed as well. The share of former Android users accounted for 26% and this is a new record. Last year, it was equal to 12% and in 2013 it made 23% of iPhone 5s purchasers.

MacBooks Are More Durable Than Their Rivals - Survey



Latest survey conducted by Consumer Reports among 58,000 laptop owners who purchased their machines between 2010 and 2015 has revealed that Apple laptops are the most reliable devices on the market. Moreover, MacBooks are less likely to require repairs in the course of 3 to 5 years if to compare with rivals from other vendors. Both Air and Pro MacBook lineups turned out to be extremely reliable and durable.

Apple to Release iPhone 6c with 'Colorful Metal Body' in February - Rumor



According to the latest report shared by Chinese insiders close to Foxconn, Apple may soon unveil the smaller iPhone with colorful metal body. In particular, the sources believe the company may announce the smartphone dubbed as the iPhone 6c in January and start selling it in February. This new device will get the support of Touch ID fingerprint sensor, but lack the support of 3D Touch technology used in the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus released this fall. Apple is reportedly working on a two updated MacBook Air models. According to what reliable supply chain sources claim, there will be two laptops with 13-inch and 15-inch screens. Most Holiday Shoppers Use iPhones and iPads to Purchase Goods Online

iPhone 7 Won’t Feature 3.5mm Headphone Jack - Rumor

iPhones May Soon Become Capable of Detecting Touches While Wearing Gloves



According to the latest patent filing published earlier this week by the United States Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO), Apple might be working on a technology that would allow iPhones to detect touch input performed while wearing gloves. Currently, using iPhones in winter is quite a tricky and inconvenient task as the displays of these devices, as well as of iPads and iPod touch units, don’t respond to users wearing gloves made of fabric, leather or any other material. The patent application is entitled “Glove Touch Detection” and it was filed back in 2014.
