Apple Changed Logo to Highlight World AIDS Day





Apple is changing the color of its brand logo outside the retail stores in the UK from white to red in order to show support for World AIDS Day. Moreover, the company from Cupertino has changed the design of its official website to highlight World AIDS Day. Every user that visits Apple’s UK homepage can now see a link to Product(RED) website.

Steve Jobs Was Against Idea of Creating White Gadgets



Leander Kahney, the author of the book called 'Jony Ive: The Genius Behind Apple's Greatest Products', claims that Steve Jobs at first was against the idea of creating white gadgets. Nevertheless, Apple executives thought white products will be a success, so in 2001 the company from Cupertino started producing some of the devices in white.

Product (RED) Mac Pro Sold for Nearly $1 Million



Product (RED) Mac Pro, designed by Jony Ive and Marc Newson, was sold on Saturday for $977,000. The device, which was at first expected to be purchased for about $40,000-60,000, surprisingly became the most expensive personal computer ever created. The charity Sotheby's auction aimed at raising money for The Global Fund to fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria.

Apple Wins Another Court Case Against Samsung



Samsung will pay Apple for copying some of the iPhone key features and design elements. For those who don’t remember - last year the South Korean company was found guilty of violating several Apple patents. The sum Samsung was ordered to pay Apple last year was $1.05 billion.

Apple Gets Final Approval for New Campus from Cupertino City Council



After long years of announcements, presentations and various meetings, it finally became clear - Apple will build a new campus. The company from Cupertino on Tuesday received final approval for its project from Cupertino City Council. What that means is that Apple can now officially start construction of the new headquarters.

Apple releases iOS 7.0.4 & iOS 6.1.5 with FaceTime bug fix



Apple has released iOS 7.0.4 for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. The update is a bug fix release with improvements. Apple notes that the update includes a fix for FaceTime calls that could fail for some users. The update is available over-the-air via the Software Update section in the iOS Settings app.

Apple has also released iOS 6.1.5 for fourth-generation iPod touch users. That iOS 6 update is designed to fix the FaceTime bug on the non-iOS 7 capable iPod touch.

According to KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, iPad mini shipments will grow 102% in the next quarter. Moreover, Apple is likely to stop producing iPad 2 in 2014.
