Apple Once Again Rumored to Release 4-inch iPhone Next Year



According to the latest report from IHS Technology researcher Kevin Wang, the long-awaited 4-inch iPhone called probably the iPhone 6c may be released in mid-2016. TSMC to Produce A10 Chips for iPhone 7 Alone - Rumor



According to the latest report from reliable insiders, Apple has recently assigned Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) as the main supplier of the A10 chip, which is expected to be used in the iPhone 7 that will come in 2016. The rumor comes from a rather reliable Asian newspaper China Times, so it’s rather trustworthy. As noted by the same sources, the next-generation iPhone processor will be built using a 16-nanometer technology and InFO architecture. The production of the chip will reportedly start next year in March.

According to the latest rumors shared by people familiar with the matter, even though the next-generation iPhone will boast of a more efficient processor, 12-megapixel camera, updated NFC and LTE chips, 2GB or RAM, and a number of other noticeable improvements, its market share may see zero or negative growth in the fourth quarter of this year. iPhone 6, Galaxy S6 or HTC One M9 Plus: Which One Is Faster?



A new interesting video has recently appeared on the Internet. This video shows us three flagship devices, namely, Apple’s iPhone 6, Samsung’s Galaxy S6 and HTC’s One M9 Plus compared to each other in terms of speed and performance.

The author of the short clip decided to use several applications to test the launch speed and the performance of each high-end smartphone. As can be seen in the video below, the iPhone 6 turned out to be the most efficient device. Samsung Galaxy S6 was nearly identical from the point of view of performance, while One M9 Plus was noticeably slower than the aforementioned devices. And that is strange since this handset has 3GB of RAM.

Apple to Announce Next-Gen iPhone in August, Release to Come in September?



According to the latest report released by usually reliable KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the guys from Cupertino may officially announce the next-generation iPhone in August and release the device in September. This report goes in line with the rumors, which appeared earlier this week suggesting that Apple may change its usual update cycle and release the new iPhone model or models in August instead of September. It should be noted, however, that Apple has never organized any media events devoted to new product launches in August, so this may be the first time.

New Patent Filing Describes Apple's Plans to Improve Fingerprint Recognition and Change Home Button



According to the latest patent filing, the guys from Cupertino are currently planning to expand the functionality of the fingerprint sensor and the Home button. This filing contains several separate patents describing new technologies that can possibly be added to the next generations of iPhones and iPads. One the most interesting inventions from the aforementioned document is a touch display with several fingerprint sensors. This special display will allow the user to define a special part on the front surface of the iPhone responsible for unlocking the phone, confirming purchases etc. Apart from that, Apple wants to make the Home button found on iOS devices more functional by adding the recognition of gestures. This will allow to navigate through websites and play games using the Home button.
