Apple Releases iWork for iPhone
Yesterday Apple released the iWork suit for iPhone with the same future set of the iPad. iWork for iPhone lets you easily manage and create documents, print them through AirPrint, and share them with iTunes. All three applications - Pages, Numbers and Keynote - come with a new document manager to organize documents into folders, Keynote brings deeper compatibility with the Keynote Remote and Pages sports a new feature called “Smart Zoom” for viewing and editing data.
“Now you can use Keynote, Pages and Numbers on iPhone and iPod touch to create amazing presentations, documents and spreadsheets right in the palm of your hand,” said Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing. “The incredible Retina display, revolutionary Multi-Touch interface and our powerful software make it easy to create, edit, organize and share all of your documents from iPhone 4 or iPod touch.”

Mac OS X Lion's interface in screenshots
Along with new architectural features new version of Mac OS X also sports new look for the iCal, Mail and Finder, and some other applications look slightly different due to adoption of design elements implemented in the iPad. What New Features Adobe's Creative Suite 6 May Offer
Last week AppleInsider got a new series of documents that contain discussions on some new features of the next-generation Adobe's Creative Suite.

iPad 2 May Get a Proximity Sensor
This week another blog about iPhones called blogdoiphone.com found a mention of a proximity sensor in the beta-version of iOS 4.3. Its developer build includes two strings entitled "PAD_CASE_LOCK_FOOTER" and "PAD_CASE_LOCK".
Both of them were found in the Settings application for the iPad. They allow user to enable or disable a new feature, which is described in description:

iOS 4.3 Multi-Touch Gestures For iPhone
The iOS 4.3 first beta revealed Multi-touch gestures for iPad but they also fit for the iPhone and iPod touch. Although Apple already announced that Multi-Touch won’t actually be available to the public with the iOS 4.3 release, some rumors claim that the company may be willing to implement the multitasking gestures both on the iPad and iPhone. Somebody believes that they could even replace a Home button on the next-gen iPhone and iPad. But such four and five-finger gestures on the iPhone’s screen look a little bit troublesome, as your hand easily covers the entire screen. Watch the video proof above!
Apple Releases Second Beta of iOS 4.3 to Developers
Yesterday Apple released a second beta version of iOS 4.3 to registered developers. This build is labeled as 8F5153d and available in versions for the iPad, iPhone 4 and 3GS, and third- and fourth-generation iPod touch. It doesn’t seem like Apple added any new features in this release.

Apple Releases iOS 4.3 Beta to Developers
Yesterday Apple released the first beta of iOS 4.3 for the iPhone, iPad and Apple TV. iOS 4.3 brings new multi-touch gestures built specifically for the iPad, including 4- and 5-finger gestures. The new beta reportedly allows users to pinch to access the home screen, to swipe up to reveal the multitasking tray, and swipe left and right to switch between open applications. The new update also reportedly adds the ability to change the functionality of the iPad hardware switch. The new beta confirms rumors that Apple would add its new Personal Hotspot feature to existing GSM iPhones with iOS 4.3. The functionality allows users to share their 3G data connection with up to five devices over Wi-Fi. Those reports claimed that Apple plans to publicly release iOS 4.3 in March.
Apple investigating 'no-look' gestures for iPod nano
The new patent recently revealed by Apple tells us that the company is looking into multi-touch gestures that can be performed without looking at a device, which would address concerns about the multi-touch redesign of the sixth-generation iPod nano.
Leaked videos reveal new 'PlayStation Phone'
Last week two hands-on videos have been posted on YouTube revealing the new Sony Ericsson's 'PlayStation Phone'.
As it can be seen from the video, the device called Zeus has slide-out physical controls like in Sony PSP but with rumored multi-touch touchpad, 4-inch display and runs on Android "Gingerbread" 2.3.

Apple will release iOS 4.2 today
Apple recently published a press release stating that new firmware iOS 4.2 for iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad will be available today.
Apple® today announced that iOS 4.2, the latest version of the world’s most advanced mobile operating system, is available today for download for iPad™, iPhone® and iPod touch®. iOS 4.2 brings over 100 new features from iOS 4.0, 4.1 and 4.2 to iPad including Multitasking, Folders, Unified Inbox, Game Center, AirPlay® and AirPrint.
The iOS 4.2 update is available today to download to iPad, iPhone and iPod touch by syncing the device with iTunes 10.1. iOS 4.2 is compatible with iPad, iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, second and third generation iPod touch (late 2009 models with 32GB or 64GB) and new iPod touch. Some features may not be available on all products. For example, Multitasking requires iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, third generation iPod touch (late 2009 models with 32GB or 64GB) or later.
However users are unable to update through iTunes right now, as well as there are no download links yet. The expected release time is 10 am Pacific Time.

Apple answered Motorola with a counter suit
As you remember, recently Motorola filed a lawsuit against Apple, accusing some of the company's products in violating of patents, which are related to a range of wireless technologies, including antenna design, GPRS, 3G, 802.11 wireless. And as it was expected, Apple has now responded on that by accusing Motorola in infringing 6 patents related to multi-touch features that were first implemented in iPhone.

Mac OS X 10.7 Lion Will Have Some of the iOS features
As it was announced by Steve Jobs on the "Back to Mac"event, the next version of Mac OS X is dubbed as "Lion" and will come next summer, bringing some of iOS features to the platfrorm. According to Apple, Lion is being developed with taking into account the innovations that iPad brought with its software:
"Lion brings many of the best ideas from iPad back to the Mac, plus some fresh new ones like Mission Control that Mac users will really like. Lion has a ton of new features, and we hope the few we had time to preview today will give users a good idea of where we are headed."
