New Office For Maс To Arrive Next Spring, Office For iOS Will Not Launch Until Fall 2014
ZDNet has received from a source who says it is a timetable for Microsoft’s plans for iOS and Mac versions of Office.
According to the roadmap, a new version of Microsoft Office for Mac will be released in April next year, while the long rumored Office for Android and iOS will arrive in October 2014.

Bloomberg Businessweek today a lengthy report about Apple’s forthcoming "spaceship" campus, noting that the project is currently about $2 billion over budget and one year behind schedule.
Apple’s Trademark Application For 'iPad Mini' Initially Denied

Patently Apple over the weekend that Apple's trademark application for the "iPad mini" term was refused by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, but The Verge Nilay Patel noted that the refusal was just a first office action.
The examiner’s major objection to the application is that the term is descriptive and doesn't create a unique trade mark that should be protected. The examiner said that all parts of the term ( namely, "i", "Pad", and "mini" elements) are not unique to this product.
Apple examines possibility of flexible display appliance for iPhone
The United States Patent and Trademark Office published an Apple patent application (via AppleInsider), which offers the possibility of using a flexible display in iPhone or in other mobile device with transparent cover as glass tubing or other form. The display would be able to cover the edges and backside of the device, even to make a more visible area.
Apple Releases iOS 6.1.3 Beta 2 to Developers
Apple has released iOS 6.1.3 beta 2 to developers which includes a fix for the recently discovered lock screen bug.
iOS 6.1.3 Beta 2 includes a security fix for a Lock screen bug and the following improvements to Maps for Japan:
● Improved pronunciation of roads during turn-by-turn navigation
● Optimized directions to more strongly prefer highways over narrower roads
● Now indicates upcoming toll roads during turn-by-turn navigation
● Added labels for junctions, interchanges, on-ramps, off-ramps, and intersections
● Added indicators for transit station buildings, subway lines, and traffic lights
● Updated freeway color to green
● Updated icons for some location categories including fire stations, hospitals, and post offices
● Added 3D buildings including Tokyo Station, Japan Imperial Palace, and Tokyo Tower

Apple Invents Depth Perception System And Cash Dispensing Network
The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office today published two interesting patent applications filed by Apple. One of them described embodiments of laser projection and a depth perception system.
PatentlyApple the patent and outlined several possibilities of using a laser source and cameras to detect the distance from an object and implement different applications based on the distance determined.
