The company from Cupertino is again the leader of the U.S. smartphone market, CIRP reports. Back in Q3 2013, Samsung was a leader with 38% share and Apple was falling behind with 34%. As we can see now, thanks to the new iPhone 5s and iPhone 5C releases, the guys from Cupertino managed to regain leadership. Take a look at the picture below.
Ming-Chi Kuo's Predictions Concerning iPhone's Rival - Galaxy S5
Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities has recently published a report claiming that Samsung will embed a fingerprint sensor and a 32-bit processor into its Galaxy S5. The analyst thinks that the South Korean company needs a some kind of biometric verification system in order to keep up with Apple’s iPhone 5s and iPhone 6. And he’s right.

According to the study that was recently conducted by a research firm JDSU, iPhone 5s users seem to be the ‘hungriest’ data consumers if compared to owners of nearly 150 other devices in both developed and developing markets across the world. This is a huge improvement, especially if to compare the amount of data downloaded by iPhone 5, 5s and 5c owners to the results of iPhone 3G several years ago.

According to a research firm NDP, more than 40% of all smartphone users in the USA own an iPhone. This is a significant improvement from Q4 2012 figure, which was 35%. Samsung’s Android devices become more and more popular, so the South Korean manufacturer comes on its usual second place. As to the other companies, namely, Motorola, LG, HTC and Blackberry, their share on the market continues to drop.
Samsung to Release Two Models of its Flagship, Just Like Apple Did in 2013
Following Apple’s example, its South Korean rival decided to split the Samsung Galaxy S5 lineup into two models - metal and plastic. These models, of course, will get different price tags: the smartphone with metal housing is expected to be sold for €800 ($1,093), while the model with all-plastic body - for €650 ($889).
iPhone 6 to Feature 8MP Camera and Image Stabilization System
