Apple Acquires Israeli Firm Called LinX Imaging





According to the latest report from The Wall Street Journal, Apple has recently purchased an  Israeli camera technology called LinX Imaging. The sum of acquisition is equal to about $20 million, the reporters claim. Looks like the guys from Cupertino have decided to improve the cameras found in their iOS devices. Unlike most device manufacturers, Apple plans not to simply increase the number of megapixels, but to work on the quality of the lenses and photo sensors in general. LinX Imaging will surely help Apple to accomplish such an ambitious task as it has developed a number of technologies specifically for making the quality of images taken with a smartphone camera better.

12-inch Retina MacBook Teardown by iFixit [Images]



The iFixit team has recently performed a teardown of the brand new 12-inch Retina MacBook. As it turns out, although the laptop is full of modern hardware, it is incredibly difficult to disassemble it. Consequently, when your MacBook stops working properly, you will have to give out a lot of money to repair it. This is probably the biggest drawback of the thinnest laptop ever manufactured by the guys from Cupertino.

Apple Pulls iPhoto and Aperture Apps from App Store After OS X 10.10.3 Release



Apple has recently pulled the iPhoto and Aperture apps from the Mac App Store. As you probably know, the reason for such a decision is the official release of OS X Yosemite 10.10.3 with a new Photos app on board, which is a replacement for iPhoto and Aperture. The guys from Cupertino won’t update these applications anymore and with time they will even stop supporting their older versions.

Apple Reportedly Can't Sell Apple Watch in Switzerland



As you know, the Apple Watch goes on sale in the USA, the UK, Canada, Australia, France, Germany, Hong Kong, China and Japan on April 24th. With time, the guys from Cupertino will undoubtedly launch their long-awaited smartwatch in a number of other countries. What’s interesting is that because of a 1985 patent, Apple may face some problems with the sales of the Apple Watch in Switzerland.

Apple Announces Exact Timing of Apple Watch Pre-Orders Start



As you probably know, the pre-orders for the long-awaited Apple Watch will start on April 10th. This means the customers from the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Germany, France, Australia, Hong Kong, China and Japan will get an opportunity to choose the model they want and purchase it within just several days. Apple has also revealed the exact time of the start of pre-sales. In the USA and Canada, the pre-orders will kick off at 12:01 AM Pacific Time on Friday, April 10. In the U.K they will go live at 8:01 a.m., in Australia - at 5:01 p.m., in Germany and France - at 9:01 a.m. and in Hong Kong, China and Japan - at 3:01 p.m.

Only 5.5-inch iPhone 6s Plus Will Feature Force Touch - Rumors



According to the latest rumors shared by people familiar with the matter, the guys from Cupertino may add Force Touch only to their 5.5-inch iPhone 6s Plus. The same sources claim that TPK, a firm, which produces 90% of Force Touch sensors for the Apple Watch, will later this year report record-breaking profits because of the orders for suchlike sensors for the next-generation iPhones. What is interesting about these sensors is that they are nearly three times more expensive than those for the wearable device.

Apps on Japanese App Store to Become More Expensive Soon



According to the latest announcement made by Apple, the company will raise the prices on the Japanese App Store within the next 24 hours. Such a step is caused by the fluctuations of the currency exchange rate in this Asian country. The guys from Cupertino say the changes won’t affect active subscribers immediately, however, they will have to pay more to renew their subscriptions for services and to purchase new apps and games. Apple will notify local users either by email, or through the official website.

Several days after the release of the first-third party Apple Watch apps on the App Store, the guys from Cupertino have announced that they are ready to accept all the other WatchKit-based application for approval. Apple's Trade-in Program Now Covers Android, BlackBerry and Windows Phone Devices



Apple has recently expanded its trade-in program in United States, Canada and a number of European countries to include Android, BlackBerry and Windows Phone smartphones. What this means is that if you have a Sony, Samsung, LG, HTC, Nokia or BlackBerry device, you may change it for a discount that may be used when purchasing the iPhone. Moreover, from now on you can not only trade-in your older device directly in the Apple Store, you can mail it to Apple. As you may see, the guys from Cupertino do their best to make people get rid of their non-Apple smartphones and buy iPhones instead.

Chinese Firm Compares Apple to Nazis to Promote Its Own Smartphone



Creating anti-Apple ads has for a long time been the priority of Samsung and Microsoft. However, what this companies have never done is comparing the guys from Cupertino and their iOS to Nazis and their regime.

One Chinese company called LeTV has recently released a poster showing Apple in the form of Nazis. This poster has been created as a part of the promo campaign for the company’s upcoming Android device. The offensive image, which has been first spotted on Weibo, is available below, take a look.

Apple to Release Three Versions of iPhone This Year?



Several new rumors, which deal with the next-generation iPhone models have recently appeared on the Internet. According to these rumors, there will be iPhone models with different screen sizes. Apart from the existing 5.5-inch and 4.7-inch form factors, Apple may also add a 4-inch version to the lineup.
