40% of Apple's A8 Chips Are Manufactured by Samsung - Rumor
Though Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company is the main supplier of the advanced 20-nanometer A8 chips used in the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, Samsung reportedly continues to produce about 40% of high-end processors. As revealed by IHS, the manufacturing cost of the new SoC is $20, which is $3 more than the manufacturing cost of the A7 processor.
iOS 8 Adoption Rate Reaches 46% Week After Release
It has been nearly a week since Apple released its iOS 8 to users worldwide. Six days after the release, the latest version of Apple's mobile operating system is installed on 46% of all the iOS devices connected to the App Store. Well, at least this is what the guys from Cupertino say.

The guys from Cupertino today released two new iPhone ads called "Huge" and "Cameras". As you may guess from the names of the commercials, they focus on the larger size of Apple's newly-released iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus as well as on the cameras of the devices. A8 Processor Inside of iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus Is Manufactured by TSMC
Long before the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus release, a rumor appeared on the Internet that suggested that these devices will be equipped by a processor manufactured by a firm called Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC). According to the latest report from Chipworks, the dual-core 64-bit Apple A8 processor is indeed manufactured by TSMC.
