Pangu to Release Jailbreak for Apple TV 4 Next Week





The Pangu team has officially announced it will release a jailbreak for the fourth generation Apple TV as soon as next week. The announcement came alongside the debut of the untethered jailbreak for iOS 9.1, which can now be downloaded from Pangu’s official website.

Foxconn and Pegatron Report Significant Revenue Drops



The Pegatron Corp. and the Foxconn Company, which are Apple’s main manufacturing partners, reported substantial revenue drops over the last month.

Foxconn announced a 30% decrease in revenue in February and a 36% drop in the year-over-year perspective. Pegatron has reported about similar revenues during the last month i.e. approximately 35% fall.

Pangu Releases Untethered Jailbreak of iOS 9.1



A hacker group called Pangu has just released an untethered jailbreak of iOS 9.1. It’s available for both Windows and Mac users. As you know, iOS 9.1 was released in October, so it’s actually high time someone hacked this version of Apple’s mobile operating system.

Closing Apps Won’t Help Your Battery Last Longer



Apple’s Senior Vice President of Software Engineering Craig Federighi replied to the user named Caleb about whether the iPhone battery life improves when you regularly close apps on your device or not. Originally it was a question to Apple CEO Tim Cook, but Mr. Federighi explained in a short form that this move will not help at all.

Yesterday Apple was granted several new patents. One of the most important of these patents is the one covering Liquidmetal Home buttons for company’s main devices – iPads and iPhones.

Liquidmetal has a number of unique qualities, which include the resistance from corrosion, light weight and high strength.

First Look at Leaked iPhone 7 Case [Images]

iPhone Display Size May Increase to 5.8-Inches



DigiTimes, a reliable Taiwanese newspaper, reports that Apple has plans to increase the size of the larger iPhone to 5.8 inches. This change may happen in 2018, although some sources expect it to be accomplished even in 2017.

6,500 Users Have Downloaded Virus from Transmission



As it was reported yesterday, a new ransomware virus has recently infected Mac computers. In case you missed our previous article, it was spread through the program called Transmission. Those who downloaded the infected installer, ended up having a virus blocking access to the sensitive data on their machines.

Samsung Galaxy S7 Shows Better Benchmark Results Than iPhone 6s



A popular benchmark app AnTuTu made a comparison of 10 most popular chips in smartphones. Qualcomm’s 820 model that is used in the new Samsung Galaxy S7 has achieved the best results. The second place belongs to Apple’s A9 processor.

KeRanger Ransomware Attacks Mac Computers



Last weekend, many Mac computers across the globe were infected by new ransomware. It’s called “KeRanger” and it was spread alongside with a program called Transmission. This malware was spread through the BitTorrent peer-to-peer file sharing network.

iPhone 6s Plus vs. Samsung Galaxy S7 – Speed Test



Yesterday, YouTube channel SuperSaf TV released a video where two smartphones, namely, the Samsung Galaxy S7 and iPhone 6s Plus were compared in a speed test. The results of the test are quite surprising. If you expect Samsung’s new device to be much faster than iPhone 6s due to the fact that it was released later and has a better processor, you’re wrong.

Apple continues to expand its payment service system on the market. 27 banks in the USA signed a contract to become partners of Apple Pay. The list includes such banks as the Bank of England, the Franklin First Federal Credit Union, Lone Star National Bank etc.
