Evernote Released Skitch For iPad
In mid-August Evernote Skitch and released it as as a on the Mac App Store. Yesterday the company fulfilled its promise to launch a version of the program for iOS. Skitch for iPad is now available, allowing users to annotate, take notes, edit existing images and more on your Apple tablet.

Last week the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office opened an exhibition devoted to Steve Jobs. The exhibition honoring Apple’s co-founder includes 30 giant iPhone-like display panels that demonstrate the front pages from over 300 patents that bear Jobs' name as inventor or co-inventor.
“This exhibit commemorates the far-reaching impact of Steve Jobs’ entrepreneurship and innovation on our daily lives,” said Under Secretary of Commerce for Intellectual Property and Director of the USPTO David Kappos. “His patents and trademarks provide a striking example of the importance intellectual property plays in the global marketplace.”

Posting negative comments on social media sites will get you fired at Apple
Apple always cares about its image. Such control spreads even on social networks, especially Facebook. Of course, Apple has its own Facebook pages and Twitter channels to share news, product updates, support documents, etc. But the company seems to control pages of its employees in social networks : Tweet/post/blog negatively about Apple and you’ll get fired.
One of Apple’s employees in the UK left negative comments about Apple on Facebook. He claimed that the post were not public. But he was fired for “gross misconduct”. Apple does warn potential employees in advance to refrain from commenting on the brand. It seems that commentary on Apple products, or critical remarks about the brand are indeed strictly prohibited, because such action could be damaging for Apple’s image and commercial reputation.
Now iPhone 4S Supports Not Only Assisted GPS, But Also GLONASS
Apple has quietly updated iPhone 4S to inform that its smartphone supports both Assisted GPS and GLONASS, the Russian GPS version.
iPhone 4S First Impressions Focus on Speed Improvements
Yesterday during the expected media event Apple announced the new iPhone 4S, an upgrade to the existing iPhone 4 with improved A5 processor, new 8 MP camera with better optics, faster download speed on 3G, Bluetooth 4.0, and more. Media members who attended Apple's iPhone 4S event had the opportunity to spend some time with the new hardware following the presentation, and immediately started posting their first impressions about the iPhone 4S.
Engadget highlights the improved internal specifications of the new iPhone 4S, noting that it is faster than the previous model, with faster navigating between pages and opening the camera application. Engadget was also able to test the new voice assistant, Siri:
The most impressive part was the demo of Siri, the new assistant that lets you do just about anything you can do on your phone — but with your voice. We tried to psych it out with a bunch of random requests... Siri never faltered, never missed a beat… There’s nothing better to say than that. We even sent ourselves a few text messages, which Siri transcribed to a T. Of course, the lady on the other end still sounds eerily robotic, but we’re hoping for smoother responses from the alien within in a future update.

The current model has three bands — one on each side on the bottom, and one on the top. The iPhone 4S has four bands — two on the top and two on the bottom. The bands are where Apple houses the antennas for the device. The Wi-Fi, wireless and Bluetooth technologies use these areas. It’s not clear at this point if Apple moved any antennas or what they added the extra band.
Google and Apple Will Compete For “Undecideds”
Google and Apple, two main parties on the smartphone market, are continuously fighting for consumers especially those who have not yet decided which OS they want to have in their next smartphone. According to survey in July 2011, these ‘undecideds’ will be the customers which manufacturers will be hoping to win over. It is interesting that late adopters are least sure among likely smartphone upgraders about their next phone platform.
Flipboard Will Offer TV Shows And Will Be Available For iPhone
Reuters, the Palo Alto, California-based Flipboard Inc wants to land deals with studios for obtaining rights to offer episodes of TV shows and movies through its social magazine app.

In Response To Flash Player Trojan Apple Updates Anti-Malware Data
Since a raid on Russian payment processing company ChronoPay two month ago, there was not much work for malware defense system of OS X , but a new trojan horse did emerged earlier this month. to F-Secure, the trojan called "OSX.QHost.WB.A" disguises itself as a Flash Player installer and adds records to a file on the computer’s host to redirect users trying to visit some of Google sites. The server in Netherlands shows a fake webpage that is very similar to the real Google site.
Pilots Allowed To Use iPad Instead Of Papers
The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration has allowed airlines to use the iPad instead of flight bags, which in turn will help pilots to save more paper, money and time.

Apple Releases iWork for iPhone
Yesterday Apple released the iWork suit for iPhone with the same future set of the iPad. iWork for iPhone lets you easily manage and create documents, print them through AirPrint, and share them with iTunes. All three applications - Pages, Numbers and Keynote - come with a new document manager to organize documents into folders, Keynote brings deeper compatibility with the Keynote Remote and Pages sports a new feature called “Smart Zoom” for viewing and editing data.
“Now you can use Keynote, Pages and Numbers on iPhone and iPod touch to create amazing presentations, documents and spreadsheets right in the palm of your hand,” said Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing. “The incredible Retina display, revolutionary Multi-Touch interface and our powerful software make it easy to create, edit, organize and share all of your documents from iPhone 4 or iPod touch.”
Apple Released 3rd Build of Mac OS X Lion Preview 2 - What's New
This Friday Apple has released a second update for Preview 2 of Mac OS X 10.7 Lion. A 1.22GB download is recommended for all users running Mac OS X 10 Lion Developer Preview 2 and is available via Software Update. The version of the latest build is reportedly 11A444d.
