Reuters: Apple will present an LTE iPad tomorrow
Apple’s next-generation iPad is set to be unveiled tomorrow, March 7. Reuters “a source familiar with the product” confirmed it “will be capable of operating on a high-speed 4G LTE” network:
The newest iPad will be capable of operating on a high-speed 4G “LTE,” or Long-Term Evolution network, according to a source familiar with the product. At speeds roughly 10 times faster than current 3G technology, that may go a long way toward banishing the sometimes shaky video quality of older devices.
iMore has also made made the same prediction. Bloomberg and the WSJ also believe the new iPad will support LTE.
New iPad to be Called 'iPad HD' and Not 'iPad 3'
Citing inside information from a developer who has previously provided "reliable information" on upcoming Apple products, CNET claims that this time Apple would step away from its usual numerical naming and give the third-generation iPad the moniker 'iPad HD' to highlight the most prominent and talked-about feature of the upcoming tablet: a high resolution "Retina Display" that has reportedly been pictured and even put under the lens of a microscope in hopes of confirming a higher pixel count than existing iPad models.
VentureBeat also report that Apple will depart from the traditional scheme of naming and use the "HD" title as a proof that the tablet will not ship with a new A6 processor but will instead be equipped with a modified A5 chip.

Apple Wins Long-Term Protection from Ban on Sales of 3G-Enabled Devices in Germany
As far as you remember, in December Motorola win a preliminary injunction against Apple in Germany which has resulted in banning on sales of Apple’s 3G-enabled products such as the iPhone and cellular-capable iPad models in the country. But a few hours later after the ban granted on such products, the court temporarily suspended enforcement of the injunction.
And now FOSS Patents reports that the court has ruled that Motorola can not enforce the injunction for the duration of Apple's appeal in the case that could take as long as a year or more, therethrough Apple is no longer at risk of having its products removed from sale.

Apple rumored to be secretly shipping 'iPad 3' as Best Buy cuts iPad 2 by $50
Meijer, a regional big-box retailer in the U.S., slashed the price of the 16GB iPad 2 with Wi-Fi by $70, and Best Buy has begun offering $50 off every iPad 2 model. These facts could, however, suggest that Foxconn is already preparing to ship the device's third-generation successor to Apple in the United States.
The alleged secret shipments from Foxconn were revealed in a shipping manifest from Apple.pro revealed this weekend, which shows a series of shipments scheduled to begin delivery in the U.S. no later than March 9. The mystery orders arriving from Chengdu, China, are said to be under high security. A source from Foxconn's Chengdu plant reportedly indicated that the shipment is for "Apple's latest products."

Qualcomm Announced Its Fifth-Generation Gobi Chip
Today chip maker Qualcomm its new chip, a fifth iteration of its Gobi platform. It includes a comprehensive support for TD-LTE, TD-SCDMA, LTE on TDD and FDD networks and has GPS capabilities. Also it supports the EV-DO and HSPA+ for backwards compatibility. Apple wins German injunction against Motorola over 'slide-to-unlock'
Judge Dr. Peter Guntz of the Munich Regional Court on Thursday found that a number of Motorola products had infringed on Apple's slide-to-unlock patent that gives the iPhone maker the option to enforce a German injunction against any offending devices. Apple's first win against Motorola could result in a complete reworking of how Motorola devices handle screen unlocking.
The German court looked at three different Motorola implementations of gesture-based device unlocking and found that two infringed on Apple's patent, namely those used by the RAZR maker's Android smartphones.

Apple Sues Motorola Over Breach Of Licensing Agrement With Qualcomm
According to Reuters' , Apple has filed a suit against Motorola alleging that the company has breached terms of the licensing contract with Qualcomm in its efforts to block sales of several Apple’s iOS devices in Germany. Following Motorola's vicrory in a German court in December, Apple last week removed all 3G-enabled devices except for the iPhone 4S from its online store in Germany. However, these devices were restored within several hours after the court suspended the injunction.
