Image Showing Manufacturing Mold for iPad Pro Back Panel Appears Online



A new photo showing something very similar to the mold for the production of the long-anticipated larger iPad Pro back panel appeared on a Chinese microblogging website Weibo. While there’s no way to confirm the legitimacy of the image, the production mold depicted on it may be indeed for Apple’s tablet with an enormous 12-inch display. Still, it can be an unofficial mold used to create iPad Pro dummies and physical mockups of the device.

According to the latest report from DigiTimes, Samsung has recently won the rights to produce an essential component for the widely-rumored Apple Watch. This component is called the S1 system-in-a-package and it includes such important parts of the wearable device as the processor, mobile DRAM, NAND flash and some other chips. The release comes nearly four weeks after the release of the previous beta and that is a bit strange, since the guys from Cupertino usually make new beta version available for developers once in two weeks. iOS 8 Adoption Rate Reaches 68% - Apple



According to what the guys from Cupertino have recently posted on their Support page for developers, iOS 8 is now installed on 68% of active devices. Such a figure shows that over the last month, the number of iOS 8 users has grown 5%. As to the reasons for such growth, they include immense popularity of Apple’s iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus as well as strong smartphone and tablet sales during the holiday period of 2014.

The laptop will reportedly boast of energy-efficient Intel Broadwell processor, thinner body, better and bigger display and a number of other improvements, which deal with the elimination of traditional old-school connectors from its full-aluminum body.

Below you may take a look at some images showing a high-quality mockup of the next-generation MacBook Air. What we actually see is an incredibly thin laptop with large screen, slightly redesigned keyboard and connectors layout. Still, we should keep in mind that this is only a model, so the actual 12-inch device released by Apple may get a different design.

New Drone Video Shows Progress at Apple's Campus 2 Construction Site



A new drone flyover video showing the progress at the construction site of Apple's "spaceship" Campus 2 has recently appeared on the Internet. This time its a high-quality 4K clip, shot by a YouTube user nicknamed Myithz. It should be noted, however, that only those users, who have a compatible 4K monitor can watch the clip in the highest quality. For all those people who use computers with usual displays, the video is available in HD quality below.

As usual, the flyover clip is rather short. Still, it gives us the opportunity to see how many things have been done since the release of the last suchlike video. We can see that the earthwork is nearly finished and the construction workers continue to give shape to the walls of Apple's new headquarters.

Apple Raises Developer Program Subscription Fee and Product Prices in Several Countries



The guys from the Cupertino have recently raised prices for their developer programs in a number of European countries. The reporters from an Apple-related German blog called Apfelpage write that German developers now should pay as many as €99 ($119) for the developer subscription for one year. Earlier those who wanted to develop apps for Apple’s gadgets had to pay €80 ($96), so the change in pricing is quite noticeable, I must admit.

The stores are closed, which means that one more “Lucky Bag” promotion in Japan is over. Most of the customers, who decided to risk and spend about $300 on sealed Fukubukuro packages, managed to obtain such goods as Apple TV set-top boxes, external battery packs, backpacks, iPods, Beats headphones and iTunes gift cards.
