Apple’s Battery Suppliers Use Cobalt Mined by Children - Report



According to the latest report issued by Amnesty International, Apple and a number of other tech giants including Sony, Samsung and Microsoft are using cobalt mined by child labor in their devices. Microsoft to Release Word Flow Keyboard for iOS?



According to an email sent to the selected members of Windows Insider program, Microsoft is planning a rollout of its Word Flow keyboard designed specifically for the Windows Phone platform on Apple’s iOS. Google Will No Longer Support Chrome on OS X Snow Leopard, Lion, Mountain Lion and Windows XP, Vista



Google has recently announced that it will stop supporting older platforms, such as OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard, OS X 10.7 Lion and OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion as well as Windows XP and Windows Vista in the near future. To be more precise, the company revealed that the support will end in April 2016.

Apple Remains Top US Smartphone Manufacturer, LG Sees Substantial Growth - Analysts



According to the latest report from a research firm called comScore, Apple remained the top smartphone manufacturer in the United States of America in the third calendar quarter of this year. Even though Apple’s share fell from 44.1% in June to 43.6% in September, this result allowed the Cupertino-based company to continue being a leader of the market. Samsung also saw a decrease in the number of users, however, the South Korean tech giant managed to get the second place in the rating. The only company, which demonstrated growth in the number of users was LG. It came in the third spot.

Apple Releases OS X 10.11.1 El Capitan with Numerous Fixes



Aside from releasing iOS 9.1 to users worldwide, Apple has also released OS X 10.11.1 El Capitan. According to the latest data shared by a research firm Interbrand, Apple remains the most valuable brand in the world. The first place in the annual rating has been occupied by the Cupertino company since 2013, when Apple surpassed a long-time leader, Coca-Cola, and took the lead. As noted by the experts, Apple value is now equal to $170.27 billion. That’s an increase of $51.4 billion or as many as 43% in comparison with the last year’s results.

Microsoft CEO Calls Apple’s iPhone an ‘iPhone Pro'



Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella has recently called Apple’s iPhone with a number of Microsoft apps on board an 'iPhone Pro'. During a meeting called the Salesforce Dreamforce conference, Satya Nadella demonstrated such apps as Skype, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Sway, Outlook and claimed the latter one was the best mail application currently available for users of all platforms. Microsoft CEO explained that he’s not the owner of the phone and that it is used just for demo purposes.
