Russian Apple Online Store Is Back After Several Days of Outage, Prices Are 35% Higher



I have a piece of news for Russian customers: local Apple Online Store is currently back after being inactive for a couple of days due to noticeable currency exchange variations in the country. Apple has decided to shut down the website to adjust prices for its gadgets and accessories. As a result, the worth of hardware in the store is currently 35% higher than a week ago. Well, I must admit that the increase in prices is quite noticeable.

Here's Why You Shouldn't Boil Your iPhone 6 in Coca-Cola - Video



A new strange video related to Apple’s iPhone 6 has recently appeared on YouTube. In a five-minute clip we can see a guy, who takes a brand new iPhone 6 and boils it in Coca-Cola. Well, I’ve seen a lot of strange people doing insane things, but I haven’t ever expected that anyone would boil a smartphone in Cola and film that.

The video has been posted to YouTube by a user nicknamed TechRax. It is available below, take a look and tell me what you think about it. I’m also interested in your opinion about the guy that performs this so-called “boil test”.

Flyover Is Now Available in New Cities in France, Sweden, Italy and Netherlands



According to what Dutch website iCulture and French Apple-related news portal iGen.fr write, the guys from Cupertino have recently updated their maps and added a Flyover feature to several new locations in Europe. Now the users of both iOS and Mac OS X can take advantage of using Flyover mode in such cities as Rotterdam in the Netherlands, Malmö in Sweden, Strasbourg and Dijon in France and Turin in Italy. Not bad, I must admit.

Apple Pay Accounts for 1% of Mobile Payments Market



Two months after the launch in the United States of America, Apple Pay currently occupies about 1% of mobile payments market. This is the information, which can be found in the latest ITG Investment Research Report on Mobile Payments (via MarketWatch). It should be noted that Apple's system still falls behind Google Wallet and its share of 4%. However, the adoption of Apple Pay rises incredibly quickly, so the time when it will beat all the rivals' systems is quite near, I suppose.

Apple Releases Third iOS 8.2 Beta to Developers for Testing



Apple on Thursday released the third iOS 8.2 beta to developers for testing. New firmware version can boast of a number of performance improvements and several important bugfixes. The release comes just one week after the release of the previous beta and about one month after the release of the first iOS 8.2 beta. Apart from seeding iOS 8.2, the guys from Cupertino also made Xcode 6.2 beta 3 with WatchKit available for developers.

Apple Raised $20 Million During (Product) RED Campaign



As you probably know, this year, Apple took part in the World AIDS Day campaign aimed at raising money to fight one of the most dangerous and quickly spreading diseases of the 21st century. The guys from Cupertino arranged several (Product) RED promotions, created a special (RED) App Store section and sent a part of money from all retail and online sales from Friday, November 28th and Monday, December 1st to the Global Fund to fight AIDS. In general, Apple managed to raise about $20 million. Well, this is what Apple CEO Tim Cook wrote in a letter to employees.

Apple Releases Safari 8.0.3, Safari 7.1.3 and Safari 6.2.3 to Developers
