Strange Apple Vehicle Spotted in California





A strange car with a complicated system of cameras on the roof has been recently spotted in Concord, CA. How is this car connected with Apple? Well, reporters and analysts claim the vehicle is either a mapping car similar to those Google uses to improve its maps and develop the Street View feature, or a self-driving car from the future. New 4K Video Showing Campus 2 Construction Site Appeared Online



A new drone video showing the construction site of Apple’s new “spaceship” Campus 2 has recently appeared online. This short 4K clip has been shot by the same guy, who made the previous one back in January. The nickname of this guy is myithz, you can check his YouTube channel and watch other flyover videos that show the building process at Apple’s new headquarters.

Apple Releases Fifth iOS 8.2 Beta to Developers for Testing



Apple on Monday seeded the fifth beta of iOS 8.2 to developers for testing. The release took place about three weeks after the release of the fourth beta and nearly three months after the release of the very first testing version of iOS 8.2. This beta also includes WatchKit SDK, which allows to create apps and notifications for the long-anticipated Apple Watch and Xcode 6.2 beta 5.

Apple to Sell 50 Million iPhone Units in Q1 2015 - Suppliers



According to what Apple supply chain sources say, in the upcoming March quarter, the company from Cupertino may sell as many as 50 million iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus units. If these predictions come true, Apple will set a new record as it has never ever managed to sell 50 million iPhone units outside the holiday season. In fact, in the March quarter of 2014, Apple sold 43.7 million iPhones, which is less that the suppliers predict for 2015.

Average Selling Price of the iPhone Is $687, Price of Android Devices - $254



According to what reliable insiders write, the average selling price of the iPhone grew to enormous $687 last quarter. Well, that is not strange, especially if to keep in mind that Apple has always been making the most luxurious and the most expensive handsets in the world. What is interesting and a bit shocking is the fact that the average price of the Android smartphone is $254. As it turns out, Apple’s smartphones are 2.7 times more expensive than those with Android OS on board.

Apple Remains Top Tablet Vendor, Samsung Stands in Second Place



Although Apple’s tablet sales become weaker and weaker with every new quarter, the company currently remains top tablet vendor in the world. According to the latest figures from a research firm called IDC, in the last quarter of 2014, Apple sold 21.4 million iPads and got the market share of 28.1%. Closest rivals are traditionally Samsung and Lenovo with 11.0 and 3.7 million devices sold over the last three months and market shares of 14.5% and 4.8% respectively.

Tomorrow, the guys from Cupertino will open a new flagship store in China. It is located in the city of Chongqing, which is one of the largest economic and financial centres of China. Earlier today, a couple of images showing the exterior and interior design of the new location appeared on the Internet. Well, I must admit that in terms of size and beauty, the Chongqing store is very similar to the Apple Store on Fifth Avenue in New York.

Samsung Profits Continue to Fall Steadily



While Apple’s profits continue to grow, its main market rival keeps losing its share, customers and money. According to the most recent earnings report published by Samsung earlier this week, the company saw a 36% decrease in profits in Q4 of 2014 in comparison with the year-ago result. Moreover, Samsung’s mobile division saw even greater decline - 64%. The net profit in the latest quarter accounted for 5.29 trillion won (about $4.84 billion).

Several days after the release of OS X Yosemite 10.10.2 and iOS 8.1.3 to users worldwide, the guys from Cupertino updated iTunes. iTunes 12.1 can boast of minor stability and performance improvements as well as one easily noticeable feature. This feature is a new iTunes widget for Notification Center. The problem is that if you use iTunes on PC or Mac with OS X version lower that Yosemite, you won’t be able to launch and utilize this widget.
