New Vulnerability Affects Third-Party Mac Apps



As noted by a bunch of reliable news websites, a wide number of third-party Mac apps are vulnerable to man-in-the-middle attacks. The vulnerability in Sparkle, an open source framework, which is used by many developers to make the update process easier, can let hackers execute malicious JavaScript code when the infected app or apps perform checks for updates. According to security researchers, uTorrent and a ‘huge’ number of other applications that are available outside the App Store are prone to the aforementioned vulnerability.

Hackers Offer Apple Employees Thousands of Euros for Their Login Details



According to the latest report from BusinessInsider, hackers are offering Apple employees in Ireland huge sums of money for their Apple ID credentials. One of the employees, who asked not to be publicly identified revealed that he was offered thousands of euros for his Apple ID email address and password. Moreover, looks like he’s not alone.

Apple Releases OS X El Capitan 10.11.4 Beta 3 to Developers



Aside from making iOS 9.3 Beta 3 available for developers, Apple has also seeded the third pre-release OS X El Capitan 10.11.4 version. The first OS X 10.11.4 beta was released on January 11th, so the developers have been testing the operating system for nearly a month now. According to Apple, the latest beta is a minor update that contains bug fixes and a number of other enhancements.

Apple Releases iOS 9.3 Beta 3 to Developers for Testing



Apple has just seeded the third iOS 9.3 beta to developers for testing. This is probably the last but one build for developers released until the alleged debut of iOS 9.3 in March alongside the new 4-inch iPhone 5SE, iPad Air 3 and the updated Apple Watch. The list of improvements and enhancements includes bug fixes and refinements to the features added in previous betas. These features include the Night Shift mode, secure Notes, updated News and CarPlay. iOS 9.3 Beta 2 brought a separate Control Center toggle for Night Shift, which is present in the third beta, so looks like the change is permanent.

Apple Launches Apple Music in Taiwan



Apple has recently launched its streaming music service called Apple Music as well as the Beats 1 radio in Taiwan. The launch took place nearly a week after the debut of the service in Turkey.

The Taiwanese customers can use Apple Music for three months for free. Once the trial ends, they will have to pay about $4.50 USD each month. The family plan is a bit more expensive.
