Well, of course, the market in terms of the so-called install base has been for months or even years led by Google’s mobile operating system, but this is probably the first time when the guys from Cupertino lost the competitive struggle in terms of the actual user base.

Apple Releases First Public OS X Yosemite 10.10 Beta
Apple has recently released the first public beta of OS X Yosemite 10.10. The pre-release version of the operating system for Macs is available for the first million of users who have registered as a beta-tester on Apple’s official website.

Despite the fact that Apple’s OS X Yosemite 10.10 and iOS 8 are expected to be deeply integrated into one another, it is very unlikely that the guys from Cupertino will release these two operating system simultaneously. Even more: everything points to the separate releases.
Apple to Release iOS 8 Beta 4 on July 21st
According to the latest reports from reliable sources, the guys from Cupertino will make the next iOS 8 beta available for registered developers on Monday, July 21st. The fourth beta is expected to be seeded two weeks after the third one, breaking the usual three-week interval between the releases of new versions of Apple’s mobile operating system.

Apple has released iOS 7.1.2 to users worldwide. This iOS version contains a number of important enhancements, new features and bug fixes. iOS 7.1.2 is compatible with Apple's iPhone, iPad and iPod touch.
Pangu v1.1.0 jailbreak is now available

UPDATE: Works on iOS 7.1.2 as well.
The Pangu team has updated iOS 7.1.1 untethered jailbreak utility to version 1.1.0. They added support for Mac OS X and English version, fixed several bugs (including boot loop bug) and removed the ability to install pirate appstore (PPSync) from English version. Unfortunately to jailbreak community they also used another new exploit instead of i0n1c's one used in v.1.0. This is no good, since Apple might both in iOS 8 or even iOS 7.1.2.
iOS 8 Beta 3 to Come on July, 8th?
According to the latest rumors, Apple won’t seed iOS 8 Beta 3 to developers for testing until July 8th. As you probably know, the guys from Cupertino are used to seeding new major betas once in two or three weeks. Keeping in mind the fact that the second iOS 8 beta was released last week, we may assume that the third pre-release version of Apple’s mobile operating system will be unveiled at the beginning of July.
Siri to Support 9 New Languages Soon?
Siri may soon start supporting 9 new languages. According to the job listings found on Apple's official website, the guys from Cupertino are looking for "Siri Language Engineers".

Untethered Jailbreak for iOS 7.1.x Released
UPDATE: It works on iOS 7.1.2 as well!
Today a team of Chinese hackers have released an untethered jailbreak of iOS 7.1.1. The utility is called Pangu.
Currently a jailbreak utility is only available for Windows users.
The team credits famous hacker i0n1c, who introduced the infoleak bug during his training. By the way i0n1c has said, "if pangu team releases a public jailbreak with vulnerabilities disclosed to them during my training I consider this in no way okay."

iOS 7.1.2 to Come Soon With Lots of Improvements?
According to the latest rumors, Apple may soon release iOS 7.1.2 with a number of improvements. These improvements will reportedly include fixes for email encryption issue as well as for iBeacon and Lock Screen issues. This means that Apple’s iOS 7 may become even more secure and stable.
Hackers Managed to Downgrade iPhone 4S From iOS 7.1 to iOS 5.1.1 Without SHSH Blobs?
Hackers from doulCi Team managed to downgrade the Phone 4S running iOS 7.1 to iOS 5.5.1 without SHSH blobs. It should be noted, however, that there’s no confirmation of this fact neither from hackers, nor from other trustworthy sources yet.
