New Patent Filing Describes Apple's Plans to Improve Fingerprint Recognition and Change Home Button



According to the latest patent filing, the guys from Cupertino are currently planning to expand the functionality of the fingerprint sensor and the Home button. This filing contains several separate patents describing new technologies that can possibly be added to the next generations of iPhones and iPads. One the most interesting inventions from the aforementioned document is a touch display with several fingerprint sensors. This special display will allow the user to define a special part on the front surface of the iPhone responsible for unlocking the phone, confirming purchases etc. Apart from that, Apple wants to make the Home button found on iOS devices more functional by adding the recognition of gestures. This will allow to navigate through websites and play games using the Home button.

Apple's New Streaming Music Service Will Be Called Apple Music?



According to the latest report from people familiar with the matter, the long-awaited Apple's streaming music service based on Beats Music functionality will be called Apple Music and feature a deep social integration for artists. According to the latest report from ChipWorks, which was mentioned yesterday, the Apple Watch can boast of the processor manufactured using a 28-nanometer technology. And that is quite strange as most of the portable devices these days have more advanced chips inside. For example, the chip, which is currently used in the iPhone 6 is created using a 20-nanometer technology and the one, which is expected be added to the next-generation iPhone, is rumored to be produced using 14-nanometer building process.

About 200 Samsung Employees Are Working Exclusively on Displays for Apple Devices



According to the latest report from Bloomberg, Samsung has earlier this month formed a separate team, which will be responsible for the development and manufacture of displays specifically for Apple’s iPads and MacBooks. Apple Acquires Israeli Firm Called LinX Imaging



According to the latest report from The Wall Street Journal, Apple has recently purchased an  Israeli camera technology called LinX Imaging. The sum of acquisition is equal to about $20 million, the reporters claim. Looks like the guys from Cupertino have decided to improve the cameras found in their iOS devices. Unlike most device manufacturers, Apple plans not to simply increase the number of megapixels, but to work on the quality of the lenses and photo sensors in general. LinX Imaging will surely help Apple to accomplish such an ambitious task as it has developed a number of technologies specifically for making the quality of images taken with a smartphone camera better.

13-inch MacBook Air SSD is Faster than 11-inch MacBook Air SSD
