iPhone 4 Coming to Verizon on Feb. 10
Today Apple has finally announced that the iPhone 4 will come to Verizon on Feb. 10 with a new two year customer agreement at a price of 199$ for 16GB version and $299 in case you'd like to have 32Gb model.
The phone may be preordered starting from Feb. 3, and a week later it will appear both in Verizon and Apple stores. That was reported at Tuesday's press conference in New York City, where Verizon COO Lowell McAdam was happy to declare the beginning of collaboration with Apple:

Apple Releases Mac OS X 10.6.6 and Launches Mac App Store
Apple today has opened the Mac App Store with over 1,000 apps available at launch and released update Mac OS X 10.6.6 for Snow Leopard bringing the new Mac App Store via Software Update.
The Mac App Store, is a new application users will find in the Dock, and it includes the following features:

9to5Mac got some information about the upcoming Mac App Store. You can see the app's icon already, and the app will have a login screen very similar to what you already use in iTunes to install iOS apps.
Sony Has Launched iTunes Rival
Yesterday Sony has launched a new service of streaming music subscription to compete with Apple's iTunes, but in opposition to the latter it will offer another approach in digital music sales.
New cloud-based music service is called "Music Unlimited powered by Qriocity" and offers users to stream music they want to listen to, but not purchase and download it.

Camera+ iPhone app is back in the App Store
After being pulled from AppStore application Camera+ is back with version 2.0. It has new filters and enhancments in addition to the usual bug fixes.

WikiLeaks App Has Appeared in App Store
New app in the App Store has appeared. It is called WikiLeaks App and gives an access to WikiLeaks archives and tweets related to the site's activity. The interface is pretty nice and clean and formatted for iPhone and iPad.
Features list includes automatic forwarding to actual mirror, full access to website's materials including CableGate and tweets with #wikileaks hashtag and those that mention @wikileaks.

The iPad-only Publication 'Daily' Is Rumored To Debut On Jan.17
Yesterday Peter Kafka from MediaMemo had reported that according to multiple sources the News Corp's newspaper Daily will be launched on Jan. 17. He added that previously the launch date was shifted several times, but the reported date is a "much safer bet".
Rumor has it the Daily will cost only $0.99 per week and will be updated every day. The publication will be only available for Apple's iPad and include multimedia features like "some kind of 3-D effect that lots of people are very excited about".

Google Announced New Version of Android Market
This week Google has released a new version of its client app for Android Market, which will work on any smartphone running Android OS 1.6 or higher.
The company aims to facilitate the process of discovering new software and its purchase. That's why new Android Market will have a Cover Flow-like style of app listings and include new categories like Widgets and Live Wallpapers, as currently the catalog is filled pretty much with these kinds of software. Besides that, app pages will now have more info and links to related content.

Apple Finally Has A Better Short URL for Ping: iTun.es
Apple finally deployed a new short URL for Ping tweets, itun.es. The itun.es domain was purchased by Apple years ago. Since Apple announced Twitter integration for Ping many thought itun.es would be a great option for tweeted items. The itun.es links are now ready to go. Links are show up in the iTunes Store when sharing a song / album on Twitter. Third party clients like Tweetie for Mac and Weet for iPhone don’t use itun.es. The itun.es links are visible to everyone in iTunes and Twitter.com.

Apple Starts Rolling Out 90 Second Song Previews in iTunes
Today Apple has begun offering 90-second previews of songs in the iTunes Store. All songs longer than 2 minutes 30 seconds will now have a 90-second preview available. Songs shorter than this length will continue to offer only 30 second previews. Good news for us, consumers! But Apple literally forced labels to accept new terms. Any labels who do not wish to agree with the terms must withdraw their music from the iTunes Store.
DevTeam Successfully Untethers iPhone iOS 4.2.1 Jailbreak
Currently iOS 4.2.1 jailbreak for iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS new bootrom, iPad, iPod 3G/4G is a tethered jailbreak. That means if you have to reboot your device, it will show a "connect to itunes" logo until you run the jailbreak software again. Musclenerd from iPhone DevTeam has announced that untethered jailbreak for iPhone iOS 4.2.1 is ready. Unfortunately this will be only for those who saved 4.2b3 SHSH keys via Cydia or tinyumbrella.
Got "backup plan" for untethered 4.2.1 JB working (video coming up). Uses mysterious 4.2b3 hashes Cydia kept for you.

iOS 4.2 bugs: Disappearing Folders
You had spent minutes or even hours organizing your countless applications into Folders and finally noticed that folders gone and your apps exploded back across your Home Screen. Not surprising! Unfortunately, the disappearing folders had been noticed already in iOS 4 came out in June. So we see that the bug wasn’t fixed. Since it’s been around for several months and is still around after iOS 4.2 release it’s hard to understand the cause. Some users have experienced it after updating to a new version of iTunes, others after updating their applications on-device or doing hard resets.
