Apple Releases iOS 8.4 Beta 4 with Fixes and Improvements





Apple has recently seeded the fourth iOS 8.4 beta to developers for testing. Probably because of the preparation for the Worldwide Developers Conference, the release came about four weeks after the release of the third iOS 8.4 beta and nearly two months after the release of the very first testing version of iOS 8.4. By the way, this beta is also available for the members of public beta testing program.

Foxconn to Open Several New Factories in India by 2020?



According to the latest report from Reuters reporters, Apple’s main partner, Foxconn, is currently planning to build a new factory in India, which will be responsible for assembling iPhones. The reason for such a decision is the increasing wage inflation in China. In the near future, Foxconn will start searching for a suitable location for the new factory, reporters claim. By 2020, Foxconn plans to build as many as 10-12 new manufacturing facilities and data centers in India. And that is quite an ambitious task that requires a lot of resources, I must admit.

Apple to Improve Its Network and Open Several New Data Centers Soon



According to the latest report shared by Bloomberg reporters, in the near future Apple may significantly improve its high-speed network used for making all of its services work lightning-fast. The guys from Cupertino are reportedly planning to replace the network equipment manufactured by third-party companies with its own and open several new data centers in USA, Ireland and Denmark. In fact, the tech giant will spend $3.9 billion on this task. Such step looks quite obvious now, when Apple launches its brand-new streaming music service called Apple Music.

Apple to Announce Apple Music Next Week - WSJ



According to the latest report from The Wall Street Journal, the guys from Cupertino will officially announce their brand new Beats-based streaming music service as soon as next week. This piece of news goes in line with previous reports from reliable insiders that suggested the new streaming music service will be unveiled at Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference in June. New iOS Bug Discovered that Crashes iPhones Using Text Message



A bug in iOS 8 has been discovered today, which affects the Messages app users. This bug allows to crash the Messages app or the iPhone using a special chain of Arabic characters and symbols. Immediately after a user receives an iMessage or an SMS with these symbols, the iPhone reboots. If the affected user opens the Messages app after the reboot, the app crashes and continues to crash each time the person attempts to open it.

Jonathan Ive Gets Promoted to Chief Design Officer



According to the latest email sent by Apple CEO Tim Cook to the employees, Jonathan Ive has been recently promoted to Chief Design Officer. In case you don’t know, earlier he was Apple's Senior Vice President of Design. Because of this promotion, two other people will get new posts at Apple. These are Rich Howarth, who will become the head of Industrial Design department and Alan Dye, who’s supposed to get the post of the head of User Interface department.

New Apple Campus 2 Aerial Photos Appear Online



According to the latest aerial images shared by a traffic reporter Ron Cervi, the construction workers at Apple’s Campus 2 are working with an enormous speed. The images shared via Twitter depict the entire construction site and show how fast the main building,  four-story restaurant and the amphitheater with a large demonstration area are being built. Apple to Use Brand New Technology for Production of Touch Panels for iPad Pro



As you probably know, Apple is currently working on a larger 12.9-inch iPad called presumably iPad Pro. This device may feature the support of Force Touch, NFC, USB-C port and a Bluetooth stylus. According to the latest report from ETNews, the tablet will also boast of an AgNW touch-panel produced by LG Display, Samsung Display, Japan Display, or any other supplier. The guys from Cupertino have recently requested first samples of this new component.

'Test Model iPad from Apple' Stolen in Cupertino



According to the latest report from MercuryNews, something called a 'test model iPad from Apple' was stolen during a robbery and kidnapping in Cupertino. A man with the device was robbed by a couple. Two people threatened him with a knife, pepper-sprayed him in the face, took all his possessions and then forced him to get into their car. After driving near a mile from the scene of the crime, the couple released a man. At first, the victim had doubts about contacting the police, but five days after the incident finally reported this crime to the local sheriff's office.
