18% of iPhone 6 and 6 Plus Users Would 'Definitely' Buy Apple Watch





According to the latest survey conducted by a finance company Credit Suisse, 18% of the current iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus owners would "definitely" purchase the long-anticipated Apple Watch, which is expected to hit the store shelves this March. 11% of the questioned said they would "probably" buy the upcoming wearable device and another 18% informed they would "definitely not" purchase the smartwatch. What is interesting is that 27% of users either say they would "maybe" spend their money on the gadget, or "probably not".

Apple Won't Stop Production of iPod shuffle, Recent Shortages Are Caused by Suppliers



A number of Apple Stores across the USA have encountered with iPod shuffle shortages this week. This has caused rumors suggesting that Apple will no longer produce the smallest and the cheapest portable music player in its lineup. As it turned out, this rumors don’t make sense. The guys from Cupertino have no plans to stop the manufacture of the iPod shuffle. This week’s shortage is a result of supplier changes, which have temporarily stopped the production process.

Apple to Update App Store Prices in Europe and Other Countries Within 36 Hours



The guys from Cupertino have just notified their developers across the world that they will change App Store prices in the countries of the European Union, Canada and Norway, Iceland and Russia within the next 36 hours. In some of the aforementioned regions the prices will go up, but several countries will experience the decrease of the prices. And there’s a very interesting situation with Russia, where the prices are said to be “changed” without specifying their increase or decrease. There’re two main reasons for all the changes. The first one is connected with adjustments in taxes policy and the second one - with unstable currency exchange rates in a number of countries.

Apple Watch to Hit Store Shelves in March, Retail Employees Trainings to Begin in February



Although Apple haven’t officially announced the release date of its long-anticipated Apple Watch, people familiar with the matter say the big event is set to take place late in March. Moreover, the same sources claim that between February 9th and February 16th, Apple’s retail employees will start testing the wearable device in order to provide customers with the required information about the product and adequate level of support on the launch day and after it.

Apple Watch to Account for 36% of Apple's Calendar Revenue in 2015



According to the latest report from the Evercore analyst Rob Cihra, the long-anticipated Apple Watch will account for as many as 36% of Apple's calendar revenue in 2015. The company from Cupertino will reportedly sell 18.5 million Apple Watch units this year and 22.9 million in 2016. As you probably know, the smartwatch is expected to be released either in February, or a bit later in March.

Apple Raises Developer Program Subscription Fee and Product Prices in Several Countries



The guys from the Cupertino have recently raised prices for their developer programs in a number of European countries. The reporters from an Apple-related German blog called Apfelpage write that German developers now should pay as many as €99 ($119) for the developer subscription for one year. Earlier those who wanted to develop apps for Apple’s gadgets had to pay €80 ($96), so the change in pricing is quite noticeable, I must admit.

I have a piece of news for Russian customers: local Apple Online Store is currently back after being inactive for a couple of days due to noticeable currency exchange variations in the country. Apple has decided to shut down the website to adjust prices for its gadgets and accessories. As a result, the worth of hardware in the store is currently 35% higher than a week ago. Well, I must admit that the increase in prices is quite noticeable.

Asian Smartphone Manufacturer Accuses Apple of Patent Infringement



According to the latest reports from reliable sources, Chinese low-cost smartphone vendor called Digione accused Apple of violating its patent. The Asian manufacturer claims the design of Apple’s latest iPhone 6 was copied from firm’s 5.5-inch handset with 8-core MediaTek CPU, Android OS on board and a price tag of 799 yuan. The iPhone 6, by the way, has a price tag of 5288 yuan.
