The reporters from an Apple-related German blog called Apfelpage write that German developers now should pay as many as €99 ($119) for the developer subscription for one year. Earlier those who wanted to develop apps for Apple’s gadgets had to pay €80 ($96), so the change in pricing is quite noticeable, I must admit.

The stores are closed, which means that one more “Lucky Bag” promotion in Japan is over. Samsung Customers Are More Satisfied with Their Smartphones than Apple Customers



According to the American Customer Satisfaction Index, Samsung users are more satisfied with their gadgets than Apple users. In particular, the satisfaction rate grew 6.6% over the last 12 months to 81%. If to speak about Apple, it saw a 2.5% decrease in customer satisfaction in 2014. “Only” 79% of users are fully satisfied with their iPhones.

iOS Users Prove to Be More Active Online Christmas Shoppers



According to the results of the IBM survey first shared by VentureBeat reporters, iPhone and iPad users managed to beat the users of Android devices in terms of online mobile sales and shopping traffic during this year’s Christmas Day. Last year, by the way, the analysis of user’s shopping activity showed similar results. iOS users were using their devices to make purchases online more often than the owners of smartphones and tablets running Google’s Android.

Rockstar Consortium Sells 4.000 Patents to RPX Corp



The Rockstar Consortium, which includes such tech giants as Apple, Microsoft, BlackBerry, Ericsson and Sony, has recently sold its portfolio of smartphone-related patents to a firm from San Francisco called RPX Corp. This may mean that the end of the patent war between the guys from Cupertino and their rivals is near. As noted in the latest press release published by RPX Corp, the company plans to licence the aforementioned patents to Google, Cisco Systems and a number of other high-profile vendors.

Apple Became Top Smartphone Vendor in Taiwan in November



According to the latest reports from people familiar with the matter, Apple has become top smartphone vendor in Taiwan in November. The guys from Cupertino managed to beat other vendors, which included HTC, Samsung, Sony and ZenFone in terms of not only sales volume, but also in terms of sales value. In the first case, the market share of Apple’s devices was 26.4% and in the second case it was even higher and accounted for 48.9%.

Samsung Closes One of Its Retail Stores in London



Samsung has recently closed one of its largest flagship stores, Samsung Experience Store located at the shopping center called Westfield Stratford City in London is no longer working. Currently, there’re only nine flagship stores of the South Korean company in the country and this number looks ridiculous of to compare it to the number of Apple Retail Stores. In case you don’t know, the guys from Cupertino have 38 locations across the UK. Three stores are situated in London - at Covent Garden, Regent Street and White City. Moreover, Apple is probably planning to open some more.

Apple Releases Security Update for Mountain Lion, Mavericks and Yosemite Users



Apple on Monday released an important security update for Mac owners. According to what the guys from Cupertino say, this update contains a fix for the critical issue with Network Time Protocol service on OS X and is highly recommended for Mountain Lion, Mavericks and Yosemite users.
