As you probably know, Apple is one of those companies that show interest in the development of virtual reality technologies. Over the past few years, the guys from Cupertino have filed a number of patents related to all kinds of virtual reality gear. Apple is an inventor of the 3-D viewing headset similar to the Oculus Rift, moreover, it possesses other technical documentation required for creation of virtual reality devices. But why haven't we seen any gadget from Apple so far? Let's find out.

IBM Created Smartwatch with Digital Crown Long Before Apple?

Looks like the concept of the smartwatch is much older than we all have thought. According to the video, which I managed to find on 9to5Mac this morning, back in 2001, IBM created a kind of smartwatch with small black-and-white display with touch input and something very similar to Apple's Digital Crown. The video is available below, so take a look and tell me what you think.

Microsoft Releases New Surface Pro 3 Ad Featuring MacBook Air

Microsoft has recently released another ad. As you might have guessed, in the short video one of Apple's products is compared to one of Microsoft's products. To be honest, I don't understand how a tablet can be compared to a laptop with normal keyboard, operating system and completely different form factor. I should probably ask the guys from Redmond as they seem to be comparing Apple's MacBook Air with their Surface Pro 3 on a regular basis.

Anyway, let's get back to the most recent commercial. This is the second ad from the so-called MacBook vs. Surface Pro 3 series. It is entitled "Winter Wonderland" and is available below.

Many OS X Yosemite Users Encounter Wi-Fi Issues

According to a number of complaints that can be found on Apple's Support Communities forum, a number of OS X Yosemite users have encountered some issues with Wi-Fi connectivity. The Wi-Fi connections are extremely slow or, in some cases, they disconnect within few minutes of work. It should be noted, however, that the number of users that have reported Wi-Fi issues is relatively small. Nevertheless, I believe the guys from Cupertino should pay attention to the complaints and fix the bug inside of the recently-released OS X Yosemite as soon as possible.

iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus Fail Drop Tests

Immediately after the start of sales of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus in several countries, first drop and crash tests began to appear on the Internet. The bad news is that both handsets are not doing well in these ultimate durability tests. While they somehow manage to remain intact when dropped on the side and back, they have no chances when dropped on the face.
