12-inch MacBook and Apple Watch Pre-Orders Go Live



Just like it was expected, Apple on Friday made its long-anticipated Apple Watch and the 12-inch MacBook available for pre-orders in a number of countries including the USA, the UK, Canada, Australia, France, Germany, Hong Kong, China and Japan. Both devices are currently not available for the walk-in customers, moreover, Apple has reportedly sold out all the Apple Watch models it had in stock within less than six hours. Shipping estimates for the wearable device have slipped to about 4-6 weeks and those for the new laptop - to several days or weeks, depending on the configuration.

Apple Employees to Get 50% Off Apple Watch and Apple Watch Sport Price, $550 Off Apple Watch Edition



According to the email, which was sent by Tim Cook to Apple’s employees earlier today and which was obtained by the reporters, those who work at Apple may get a decent discount on the Apple Watch. In particular, the company employees may purchase any stainless steel Apple Watch or Apple Watch Sport model with 50% off the final price. What I must admit is that buying such a device for half the price seems to be a great opportunity. Apart from that, Apple employees can also get a $550 when purchasing the Apple Watch Edition. Of course, there are some restrictions. For example, employees can buy the wearable devices for personal use only.

At the “Spring Forward” media event back in March, the guys from Cupertino announced that the AppleCare+ program will be available for Apple Watch customers. However, they somehow failed to mention the prices for this extended support service.

Apple to Sell 1 Million Apple Watch Units Over First Three Days After Launch



According to the latest report shared by a well-known and usually reliable Piper Jaffray analyst Gene Munster, Apple may sell as many as 1 million Apple Watch units in the launch weekend with more than 300.000 units sold in the first 24 hours. Of course, this does not necessarily mean that all of the units purchased over the first days will be immediately shipped to the customers. You see, Apple may see serious constraints at launch due to the strong demand and relatively poor inventory of the wearable device.

Apple Releases Fourth iOS 8.3 Beta Available for Developers and Public Beta Testers



Following the release of the fifth OS X Yosemite 10.10.3 beta, the guys from Cupertino on Tuesday made the fourth iOS 8.3 beta available for developers. This same beta is also available for the members of iOS public beta testing program. The release comes nearly two weeks after the release of the previous iOS 8.3 beta, which could boast of support of Google’s two-step verification, wireless CarPlay connectivity, new emojis and a number of other improvements.

Images Showing Apple's New Wireless Keyboard Appear Online



A brand new wireless keyboard has been recently spotted on the official Apple Online Store in Czech Republic and Hungary. What is interesting about this keyboard is that it can boast of  backlight keys and a power button instead of the usual eject button for CDs. As can be see below, the new wireless keyboard has the same size and shape as the old one, however, the F5 and F6 buttons have been made responsible for adjusting the brightness of the backlight.

Apple Watch Edition: Apple's New Marketing Tool?



Last week, apart from the relatively cheap Apple Watch and Apple Watch Sport, the guys from Cupertino have also announced something called Apple Watch Edition - a luxurious and incredibly expensive timepiece with several additional features for geeks. The prices for this version of the smartwatch start from about $10.000, so it is a bit strange Apple has released such a costly wearable device. Or not?

Apple Launches iOS 8.3 Public Beta Testing Program



Just as we expected, Apple has recently launched iOS 8.3 public beta testing program. This means that the pre-release version of iOS 8.3 is now available for all those users, who have registered as members of the public testing program. While the guys from Cupertino have released several public OS X betas in the past, they have never offered public access to the pre-release iOS builds.

Apple Releases Third iOS 8.3 Beta to Developers for Testing



The guys from Cupertino on Thursday seeded the third iOS 8.3 beta to developers for testing. The release came about two weeks after the release of the second iOS 8.3 beta, which could boast of new emoji picker, better CarPlay connectivity, the support of Google’s two step verification, new Siri languages and a number of other performance and stability improvements. New beta became available for Apple’s developers just several days after the public release of iOS 8.2, which could bo the official release of iOS 8.2 that featured the support of the Apple Watch.

New Beats Music Based Online Radio to Be Announced at WWDC



Earlier this year I told you that the guys from Cupertino were planning to launch a revamped music streaming service based on both Beats Music and iTunes Radio functionality. According to the latest report from people familiar with the matter, the debut of the service won’t take place at the “Spring Forward” media event, scheduled for March 9th. Instead, insiders claim Apple will unveil its new creation at the annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in June. The service will use the technologies Apple obtained after acquiring Beats Music and will have a monthly fee of $7.99.

Next-Generation iPhones to Feature 2GB of RAM and Apple SIM



According to the latest reports from people familiar with the matter, Apple’s next-gen iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus may both get Apple SIM and 2GB of RAM. Both features come from the iPad Air 2, which was released last year. Apple SIM will allow users to select, which carrier they want to use on their own and 2GB of RAM will surely make the device more efficient. However, these changes may influence the battery life of the smartphone, which means Apple has either to improve the battery capacity, or make other components and the operating system consume less energy.
