Apple to Offer Surface-Style Keyboard Cover for iPad?

Jamie Ryan, Apple’s former employee, says there’s a Surface-style keyboard cover in the works. Ryan has reportedly been speaking to some people at the company, who shared with him the information about prototypes.

It’s not clear whether the process is far enough along to make this Tuesdays event but they did say a few different styles had been in testing for a while. This would certainly allow Apple to differentiate the larger iPad from its little brother and market it as the more ’pro’ of the 2. Apple already sells a Bluetooth keyboard that functions perfectly with the iPad but it’s not quite as integrated as Microsofts offering, requiring a lot more bag space.

It is interesting whether Apple will show us the new iPad case on Tuesday or not.

Photo Showing iPad 5 with Touch ID Sensor Leaked Online

A photo that depicts the upcoming iPad 5’s front panel featuring something very similar to the Touch ID fingerprint sensor has leaked online. Whether the image is legitimate is still unclear; anyway, the device on it looks pretty much like the new full-sized iPad should look like - especially if to take into consideration previous leaks and the experts’ predictions.

The photo has been first spotted on CTech - a website that yesterday published a couple of photos showing the gold iPad 5 and iPad mini rear panel.

Apple has earlier today confirmed the official release date for the fifth-generation iPad - reporters have received invitations for media event that is to be held October 22nd. This event for press will start at 10 am Pacific Time.

Apple to Unveil New iPads on October 22nd?

According to AllThingsD, Apple will officially unveil its new iPad 5 and probably a redesigned iPad mini with Retina display on Tuesday, October 22nd. The site experts claim that the media event can take place either at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts or at Apple's Town Hall auditorium.

The fifth generation iPad is expected to feature a thinner, lighter design akin to the iPad mini’s and an improved camera. It will run Apple’s new 64-bit A7 chip. The second-generation iPad mini will be upgraded with a retina display and also see the A7 incorporated into its innards. It’s not clear whether Apple’s new iPads will feature the Touch ID fingerprint sensor that recently debuted on the iPhone 5s, though that has been rumored.

Apple hasn’t neither confirmed, nor denied the information about new products’ launch yet.
