The AppStore description for Viber app has been changed by hackers. It is not the first time the App's support page is attacked. The Syrian Electronic Army took whole responsibility for this latest attack as well as for the previous ones. Now the description of the app says "We created this app to spy on you, please download it!"

LA Unified School District students will get iPads
Apple has recently won a large supply contract for iPads to LA Unified School District. According to the program, all students in the school district will be equipped with iPad. The gadget will boast the Pearson Common Core System of Courses presented as a new app. Moreover, Apple’s iWork (Pages, Keynote, Numbers) and iLife (iMovie, iPhoto, GarageBand) suites will be preloaded on each iPad as well as some educational third-party apps. Apple says that the $30 million commitment is the beginning of a bigger contract from Los Angeles schools.
The first 31,000 iPads are only the initial phase of the program, which plans to buy and distribute iPads to all 640,000 students in the nation’s second-largest school district by late 2014, Mark Hovatter, the chief facilities executive for the LAUSD, told CITEworld.
“The most important thing is to try to prepare the kids for the technology they are going to face when they are going to graduate,” said Hovatter. “This is phase one, a mix of high school, middle school, and elementary students. We’re targeting kids who most likely don’t have their own computers or laptops or iPads. Their only exposure to computers now is going to be in their schools.

Google Drive for iOS was updated to a version 1.5.0 yesterday. Those who use Google cloud service can now download the application from the App Store for free.
iOS 7 Design Tool
Those who don’t like the new iOS 7 design now can customize it and make the operating system look just as they want. This is all due to a new tool developed by Usvsth3m. Well, unfortunately this is just a kind of web app or game, but not a real iPhone tweak.
Sim cards can be easily hacked
Karsten Nohl claims that some SIM cards feature a flaw in the encryption technology, so that telephones with the cards can be spied on.
This flaw enables the hackers to send a spoof text message to the device. The latter will answer by revealing the 56-bit data encryption standard key (DES). Using the key, the attacker gains possibility to install dangerous software on the device and even listen in on your phone calls, access/send text messages and much more.
Apple Store App Will Get a New Look
According to an unknown source, on Tuesday, July 23rd, Apple will introduce a completely redesigned Apple Store app for both iPhone and iPod touch. It will get a new design in order to match the recently updated App Store, iTunes Store, and iBookstore apps for iOS 6. However, this is not the only reason for such a change of appearance.
Apple's Developer Portal Is Still under Maintenance
Apple Developer’s webpage is down. The company, however, posted a notice claiming that all the memberships due to expire during these days have been extended. It’s been nearly two days since the site is under maintenance.
New Version of VLC for iOS Returns to the App Store
VLC for iOS is back. Well, this app is only available in New Zealand now, however, it would reach the American App Store soon. As to the other countries, it is said to be available a bit later.
New Chrome for iOS
A new version of the most widely used web browser ever - Google Chrome - has become available for all the iOS users. The most interesting features are the ability to open links for YouTube, Google Maps, Google+ and Google Drive using the appropriate applications, reduced resource usage and the ability to access browser history. Not bad, I must say.
