Apple Announces 2011-2013 MacBook Pro Repair Program





After hundreds of users’ complaints and months of silence, Apple has finally announced a repair program for those MacBook Pro models, which suffer from graphics issues. The list of models eligible for the repair includes 15-inch and 17-inch MacBook Pros released in 2011, 15-inch MacBook Pro released in 2012 and 15-inch MacBook Pro released early in 2013. Moreover, Apple says it will contact those users, who had to pay to fix the aforementioned problem earlier in order to issue a refund.

Apple to Add Touch ID to Several New Devices?



According to a new rumor, which has been recently shared by the Taiwanese insiders, the guys from Cupertino may soon add the Touch ID fingerprint sensor to a number of next-generation devices, namely, the MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, Magic Mouse and Magic Trackpad. While such a rumor hasn’t yet been confirmed by reliable analysts or Apple suppliers, the addition of a fingerprint sensor may allow users to keep their data secured on every device they utilize. Moreover, placing a Touch ID on a laptop or a mouse can possibly make purchases with the help of Apple Pay even faster and easier.

A well-known parody news website called The Onion has recently published an article, which reflects all the fuss around the widely-rumored Apple’s electric self-driving car, which is apparently in the works now. The “reporters” write that the guys from Cupertino have decided to start working on their first-ever vehicle, codenamed presumably Titan after the record-breaking iPhone and iPad sales.

Apple Invites Developers to Cupertino to Help Them Finalize Their Apple Watch Apps



According to the latest reports from reliable sources, the guys from Cupertino have recently invited several third-party app developers to Apple headquarters to allow them to test their Apple Watch apps ahead of the launch of the wearable device in April. Some insiders claim that Apple is planning to help nearly 100 developers finalize their products in February, however, this information hasn’t yet been confirmed officially. Most of the developers invited to Cupertino are those who create sports and productivity applications.

Apple Hires Former BBC Radio 1 DJ Zane Lowe



As you probably know, the guys from Cupertino are currently working on a new subscription-based streaming music service. Although it will be based on Beats Music, it will also boast of a number of unique features, for example, deep integration with iOS. To make the would-be service even better, Apple has recently hired Zane Lowe, former BBC Radio 1 DJ, who was born in New Zealand and who is currently 41.

Photos Showing Third-Party iPad Pro Case Appear Online



A couple of images showing something very similar to the new third-party case for the long-anticipated 12-inch iPad Pro have been recently spotted online. While it is currently impossible to check the legitimacy of these photos, they show us an accessory, which is really similar to the one for the iPad Air. The case has nearly the same cutouts for volume rockers, mute switch, Power button, rear camera and Lightning connector. However, the leaked part is a bit different from the iPad Pro case that appeared on the Net several weeks ago.

Apple Pay to Support Federal-Payment Cards - U.S.Government



According to the information that was made public ahead of the White House Summit on Cybersecurity at Stanford University, the U.S. government may soon make Apple Pay available for the owners of federal-payment cards. The big event may take place in September. These cards include Social Security cards as well as those issued to veterans getting financial support from the state. The official U.S. government acknowledgement will become a massive step forward for Apple, which can help the company lure lots of new customers not only from the USA, but also from other countries. Apple Finally Stops Signing iOS 8.1.2



I have got some bad news for all the users of jailbroken iPhone, iPad and compatible iPod touch models. The guys from Cupertino have recently stopped signing iOS 8.1.2. What this means is that it is now impossible to restore your device to this version of iOS without losing jailbreak. That is why I suggest that you should be very careful and make sure you do not update your smartphone, tablet or portable media player to the latest version of iOS.

Apple Working on iOS 8.4 with Support of New Streaming Music Service?



As I’ve already told you, the guys from Cupertino are currently working on iOS 8.2, iOS 8.3 and iOS 9. As it turns out, there’s one more iOS version in the work. This version is codenamed Copper and people familiar with the matter believe it will be released sometime after the official launch of the long-awaited Apple Watch in April. As to the new features of the mobile operating system, they remain unknown. The only thing we know is that Apple is currently planning to add the support of the revamped Beats-based streaming music service to iOS 8.4.

iOS 9 to Become Minor Update with Stability and Performance Improvements?



As you probably know, the guys from Cupertino are expected to make iOS 9 available to customers worldwide later this year. iPhone 6s to Feature 8-Megapixel Camera - Analyst



According to what Taipei-based analyst Jeff Pu has recently written, Apple will equip its next-generation iPhone with the same 8-megapixel rear camera, which is currently used in the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. Unlike all the other smartphone manufacturers on the market, the guys from Cupertino have decided not to use photo sensors with increased megapixel count. However, Apple may improve the camera by adding new lenses or other hardware and software enhancements.

Apple Releases New Music-Themed iPad Air Ad [Video]



The guys from Cupertino have recently released a new music-themed iPad ad devoted to the 57th annual Grammy Awards. The short commercial is entitled "Change" and it shows us three creative personalities using Apple’s tablets for their work. These personalities are Gaslamp Killer, a producer from Los Angeles, DJ Riton from England and Swedish singer Elliphant.
