Apple Reportedly Puts Off Release of iOS 8.4



According to the latest rumors shared by reliable insiders, the guys from Cupertino won’t release iOS 8.4 at their Worldwide Developers Conference that kicks off this Monday. Instead, the debut of the next generation of Apple’s mobile operating system will take place later in June. As you probably know, iOS 8.4 will boast of a completely redesigned Music app with the support of the long-anticipated Beats-based streaming music service and possibly a bunch of other interesting features.

TaiG Team to Focus on Jailbreak for iOS 9 - Report



As you might have noticed, the Pangu team has recently demonstrated its jailbreak for iOS 8.4. Following this announcements, the hackers from TaiG team has unveiled their plans for the nearest future. In the latest interview with iDigitalTimes, one of the developers revealed that there will be no TaiG jailbreak for iOS 8.3 or iOS 8.4. Apart from that, he added that there are no plans concerning the jailbreak of the Apple Watch. Instead, the team will focus on the development of a jailbreaking tool for iOS 9. Well, that’s quite an ambitious task, I must admit.

A new OS X vulnerability has been recently discovered by a security researcher Pedro Vilaca. This vulnerability affects Macs that are older than one year and lets the cyberthieves control the computer remotely even after it is restored to factory settings of formatted. The aforementioned exploit opens a massive hole in the security of Apple's OS X, which is currently called the most reliable and protected operating system on market.

Apple Won’t Launch Its Web TV Service at WWDC

Apple Sold 7 Million Apple Watch Units, Shipped Only 2.5 Million - Analyst



As noted by Global Equities Research analyst Trip Chowdhry, Apple has sold about 7 million Apple Watch units since the launch earlier this year. The number of devices already shipped to customers is noticeably smaller and is equal to only about 2.5 million. The expert predicts that the guys from Cupertino may ship as many as 40 million Apple Watch units to customers by the end of this year.

Drake, Pharrell and David Guetta to Become iTunes Radio Guest DJs?



According to the latest report from the New York Post, Apple is currently in talks with such celebrities as Drake, Pharrell Williams and David Guetta concerning the possibility of becoming guest DJs for a completely revamped music service called iTunes Radio. The same report also states that the guys from Cupertino are still in negotiations with major labels about the upcoming Apple Music service, which is expected to be launched later this year. The reporters claim the guys from Cupertino will offer a three-month trial period and a regular fee of $10 per month for the new music service.

iPhone 6, Galaxy S6 or HTC One M9 Plus: Which One Is Faster?



A new interesting video has recently appeared on the Internet. This video shows us three flagship devices, namely, Apple’s iPhone 6, Samsung’s Galaxy S6 and HTC’s One M9 Plus compared to each other in terms of speed and performance.

The author of the short clip decided to use several applications to test the launch speed and the performance of each high-end smartphone. As can be seen in the video below, the iPhone 6 turned out to be the most efficient device. Samsung Galaxy S6 was nearly identical from the point of view of performance, while One M9 Plus was noticeably slower than the aforementioned devices. And that is strange since this handset has 3GB of RAM.

Apple Offers Best Technical Support on Market - Report



According to the latest computer technical support satisfaction survey conducted by a magazine called Consumer Reports, Apple’s tech support was once again recognized as the best one. As noted by the journalists, four out of five Mac users who turned to Apple’s technical support were able to solve their problem without visiting Genius Bar or paying additional money. If to speak about the companies that produce and sell Windows-based computers, only about half of users were satisfied with their technical support service. And that’s not the first time Apple gets such a high score.

Jonathan Ive Gets Promoted to Chief Design Officer



According to the latest email sent by Apple CEO Tim Cook to the employees, Jonathan Ive has been recently promoted to Chief Design Officer. In case you don’t know, earlier he was Apple's Senior Vice President of Design. Because of this promotion, two other people will get new posts at Apple. Microsoft Plans to Acquire BlackBerry - Rumor



According to the latest rumors shared by insiders, Microsoft is currently planning to acquire BlackBerry. There are several reason for such a decisive step, namely, Microsoft’s desire to compete with Apple on the smartphone market on equal terms and the substantial amount of important patents owned by the Canadian company. However, it should be noted that Microsoft is definitely not the only industry giant interested in BlackBerry. Apple to Announce Next-Gen iPhone in August, Release to Come in September?



According to the latest report released by usually reliable KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the guys from Cupertino may officially announce the next-generation iPhone in August and release the device in September. This report goes in line with the rumors, which appeared earlier this week suggesting that Apple may change its usual update cycle and release the new iPhone model or models in August instead of September. It should be noted, however, that Apple has never organized any media events devoted to new product launches in August, so this may be the first time.
