40% of U.S. iPhone Users Upgraded to iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus - CIRP
According to the latest report from a research firm called Consumer Intelligence Research Partners (CIRP), nearly 40% of the iPhone owners in the United States of America have upgraded to the iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus since the release of the handsets last year. The total number of Apple’s iPhones in use was equal to about 94 million in March. 25 million out of this number were iPhone 6 units and 13 million - iPhone 6 Plus units. Since March, the number of active iPhone users has grown.
Labor Shortages Reportedly Caused Slow Apple Watch Launch
According to the latest report from DigiTimes, labor shortages were the reason for the slow launch of the Apple Watch back in April. Apple’s main supplier responsible for the assembly of the wearable device, Quanta Computer, was unable to find the required number of workers during the Lunar New Year holidays and this caused supply constraints. According to the latest report from people familiar with the matter, the long-awaited Apple's streaming music service based on Beats Music functionality will be called Apple Music and feature a deep social integration for artists. S1 Chip Is Manufactured Using 28-Nanometer Process

Apple's Cash Reserves Beat Those of Most U.S. Industries Combined
According to the information found in Moody's Investors Service study, which was published on Thursday, Apple remains the top cash holder in the United States of America with about $178 billion in cash reserves. Its closest competitors from the technology sector, Microsoft and Google, have noticeably weaker reserves of $90.2 billion and $64.4 billion in cash respectively. Another interesting fact is that the sum of money Apple has in its reserve is greater that the sum of money most of the U.S. industries have combined. That’s what I call a successful tech company.
