Apple Releases Third iOS 8.4 Beta to Developers, Second Beta to Public Testers





Apple on Monday released the third beta of iOS 8.4 to developers for testing and the second beta of its newest mobile operating system to the members of public beta testing program. The release came two weeks after the release of iOS 8.4 Beta 2 and nearly a month after the debut of the very first testing version. According to what the guys from Cupertino say, the latest beta contains a number of improvements and bug fixes.

Apple Launches New iPad Promo Campaign, Releases New Ad



Apple has earlier today launched a new iPad-dedicated microsite aimed at showing users how the tablet may change their lives and help in accomplishing various tasks. This site has several sections, namely, Cooking with iPad, Learning with iPad, Small Business with iPad, Traveling with iPad as well as Redecorating with iPad.

Apart from launching a new new website, the guys from Cupertino have also released a new iPad ad called Everything Changes with iPad. The commercial is available below and on Apple’s official YouTube channel, so you may take a look at it right now.

Apple Stops Signing iOS 8.2, Downgrade Is No Longer Possible



Apple has just stopped signing iOS 8.2, which means it is no longer possible to restore or downgrade your iPhone or iPad to this version of Apple’s mobile operating system. If you have iOS 8.3 installed on your device, you can simply ignore this post, however, if you want to continue using iOS 8.2, be careful and don’t upgrade to iOS 8.3 accidentally as it would be impossible to downgrade. This suggestion is especially important for the owners of older iPhones and iPads, which may encounter some performance issues on iOS 8.3.

According to the latest industrial rendering, which appeared on the Internet on Friday, the long-awaited larger-screened iPad Pro may indeed get a 12.9-inch screen. As to the dimensions of the tablet, they might be as follows: 305.70mm x 222.60mm x 7.20mm. The most-recent rendering also proves the rumors about four speakers located at the top and the bottom of the device as well as the suggestions about Apple’s plans to leave the ports and buttons layout similar to the layout of the iPad Air 2.

iOS 8 Adoption Rate Reaches 81% - Apple



According to the latest report published by the guys from Cupertino, iOS adoption rate has recently reached 81%. This number indicates that most of the iPhone and iPad users have already upgraded to the latest version of Apple's mobile operating system. If to compare this number to the one, which was published by Apple on April 13th, we may see a 2% increase in the number of active iOS 8 users. The data about iOS adoption is based on the App Store statistics, which means it is pretty reliable.

'Test Model iPad from Apple' Stolen in Cupertino



According to the latest report from MercuryNews, something called a 'test model iPad from Apple' was stolen during a robbery and kidnapping in Cupertino. A man with the device was robbed by a couple. Two people threatened him with a knife, pepper-sprayed him in the face, took all his possessions and then forced him to get into their car. After driving near a mile from the scene of the crime, the couple released a man. At first, the victim had doubts about contacting the police, but five days after the incident finally reported this crime to the local sheriff's office.

Apple Releases Second iOS 8.4 Beta to Developers for Testing



Apple has just released the second beta of iOS 8.4 to developers for testing. The release came less than two weeks after the release of the very first iOS 8.4 beta, which could boast of a completely redesigned Music app with lots of new tweaks as well as a number of bug fixes and performance improvements. According to the release notes, the latest version of Apple's mobile operating system features only some minor stability enhancements. As to the new features, the developers haven't yet noticed any. I will let you know if they find anything new.

Google No Longer Supports YouTube App on Old iOS Devices and Apple TVs



Google on Monday announced that it will no longer support YouTube app on older Apple devices, namely, iPhones, iPads, and iPod touches with iOS 6 or any other earlier version of Apple’s mobile operating system on board. Apart from that, both first and second generation Apple TV users will be unable to access YouTube using their set-top boxes.

As you probably know, Apple suppliers responsible for manufacture of all kinds of cables, chargers and things like that used to be located only in China. About 200 Samsung Employees Are Working Exclusively on Displays for Apple Devices



According to the latest report from Bloomberg, Samsung has earlier this month formed a separate team, which will be responsible for the development and manufacture of displays specifically for Apple’s iPads and MacBooks. Although Samsung is not the first company that has a special department dedicated to supplying Apple with various components (LG also has one), such a step shows that not only Apple is dependent from its main market rival.
