According to the latest reports from Asian sources, Samsung has recently signed a deal with Apple and LG to supply these vendors with DRAM memory chips. Here's How to Destroy Your iPhone 6 Using Molten Aluminum [Video]

A new video showing a rather creative way to destroy a brand new iPhone 6 has recently appeared on the Internet. Unlike other clips found on YouTube showing the smartphone smashed by a hammer, or boiled in Coca-Cola, or shot with a rifle, this one gives us a closer look at what happens when you pour molten aluminum over the device. The video is available below, so you may take a look at it right now.

Next-Gen iPhones to Be Equipped with New Type of Corning Glass?

A firm called Corning, which produces Gorilla Glass for modern smartphones and tablets including those manufactured by Apple, has recently announced a new type of glass, which will be used in the smartphones and wearable devices later this year. This glass is reportedly called “Project Phire” and it can boast of the scratch resistance similar to the one sapphire has, but is far better than this material in terms of drop performance. It is currently unclear what smartphones will get the new glass, however, I’m almost certain that these will be Apple’s iPhones and other flagships from top vendors.

Samsung to Become Apple A9 Chip Supplier, Not TSMC

According to the latest rumor published by Re/code reporters, Samsung will become Apple’s sole chip supplier. Looks like the guys from Cupertino have finally made up their mind. The decision to choose the Korean manufacturer, not Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC), is cased by the fact that Samsung uses a more advanced manufacturing technology and can produce more chips at a given time.

Samsung Profits Continue to Fall Steadily

While Apple’s profits continue to grow, its main market rival keeps losing its share, customers and money. According to the most recent earnings report published by Samsung earlier this week, the company saw a 36% decrease in profits in Q4 of 2014 in comparison with the year-ago result. Moreover, Samsung’s mobile division saw even greater decline - 64%. The net profit in the latest quarter accounted for 5.29 trillion won (about $4.84 billion).

Samsung to Produce 75% of A9 Chips for New iPhones and iPads

About a month ago, a rumor appeared on the Internet, which suggested that Samsung will become Apple's primary A9 chip supplier. Although this rumor contradicted with previous reports from reliable insiders, who believed both Samsung and Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) would supply the company from Cupertino with chips for next-generation iPhones and iPads, it looked quite plausible.

Yesterday, a new report from a South Korean newspaper called Maeil Business was spotted on the Net. According to this report, Samsung will get 75% of orders for the production of the A9 chip. The same report also notes that the processor for the new iPhone and probably iPad Air and iPad mini may be manufactured at the factory in Austin, Texas.

According to what the analysts predict, Apple's iPhone and Mac sales in the holiday quarter have set a new record in the history of the company. Apple Released 'Apple Watch' in 1995? [Video]

You probably think that the upcoming Apple Watch will become the first wearable device the guys from Cupertino have ever created. And what if I tell you that you are wrong?

As it turns out, back in 1995, two years before Steve Jobs came back to his company, Apple released a beautiful wrist-worn watch made of anodized aluminum with incredible design, colorful logo, scratch-resistant glass and "Mac OS" inscription on the band. Of course, it was just a watch; it couldn't boast of Bluetooth or Wi-Fi (it was 1995). However, the "Apple Watch" was very good-looking.

Intel CEO Says Relationship with Apple Is Strong

Earlier this week I wrote an article about the relationship between Apple and Intel and about Apple’s plans to build its own A10X processor for the next-generation Mac as soon as in 2016. Although the rumor about a switch to own custom-build processors was shared by KGI analysts, looks like it was just a prediction. A couple of days ago, in an interview to CNBC Intel CEO Brian Krzanich said that the business relations between the tech giant from Cupertino and the largest chip manufacturer in the world remain strong and promising.

iPhone 6s to Feature 'Force Touch' and 2GB of RAM - Rumor

Earlier this week I told you that the next-generation iPhone will feature a dual-lens camera system and the support of pressure-sensitive display technology called "Force Touch". Yesterday, a new report from Asian insiders appeared online, which once again suggests that the guys from Cupertino will add "Force Touch" to their new handset called presumably the iPhone 6s. Apart from that, the same sources believe the smartphone will also feature 2GB of RAM. And that is a noticeable improvement since the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus both have only 1GB of RAM on board.

Apple Working On Its Own Processor for Macs - Rumors

According to the latest report from KGI, Apple is currently working on its own processor, which will power future generations of Macs. In fact, the analysts say that the new CPU may be created by Samsung in the next one or two years and even added to the future model of the 12-inch MacBook Air. The reason for the creation of its own processor is probably connected with recent delays from Intel. Apple wants to control the timing of Mac launches better.

TSMC May Still Become Apple's Main A9 Chip Supplier?

Although in December it was reported that Samsung had already began the production of the next-generation A9 processors for Apple, a couple of days a new rumor appeared on the Internet suggesting that Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) may actually become tech giant’s main chip supplier. According to what people familiar with the matter write, TSMC demonstrates higher production yield and that is the key factor that can possibly make Apple give most of the orders to produce A9 chips to Taiwanese manufacturer.

Here's Why You Shouldn't Boil Your iPhone 6 in Coca-Cola - Video

A new strange video related to Apple’s iPhone 6 has recently appeared on YouTube. In a five-minute clip we can see a guy, who takes a brand new iPhone 6 and boils it in Coca-Cola. Well, I’ve seen a lot of strange people doing insane things, but I haven’t ever expected that anyone would boil a smartphone in Cola and film that.

The video has been posted to YouTube by a user nicknamed TechRax. It is available below, take a look and tell me what you think about it. I’m also interested in your opinion about the guy that performs this so-called “boil test”.
