Samsung to Become Apple's Main Components Supplier



According to the latest reports from supply chain insiders, Apple has recently decided to make Samsung one of its major hardware suppliers. I'm now talking not only about the chips for next generations of iPhones and iPads. As noted by BusinessKorea, the guys from Cupertino plan to use Samsung as a primary components manufacturer for the long-anticipated Apple Watch as well. Apple Made Samsung Main A-Series Chip Supplier



According to the latest report from The Korea Times, Apple has made Samsung its primary chip supplier. 80% of orders for 14-nanometer processors will go to the South-Korean manufacturer starting 2016. As to the Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC), it will get the remaining 20% of orders, which is also pretty good for this firm.

It Is Now Impossible to Downgrade to iOS 7.1.2



Earlier this week, Apple released iOS 8.0.1 and iOS 8.0.2, which contained a number of important fixes for Phone, Keyboard, Safari, Sharing, SMS/MMS messages, Photo Library and VPN. 40% of Apple's A8 Chips Are Manufactured by Samsung - Rumor



Though Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company is the main supplier of the advanced 20-nanometer A8 chips used in the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, Samsung reportedly continues to produce about 40% of high-end processors. As revealed by IHS, the manufacturing cost of the new SoC is $20, which is $3 more than the manufacturing cost of the A7 processor.
