Apple May Make watchOS Even Better This Fall



As you probably know, the guys from Cupertino are currently working on the new version of watchOS for the Apple Watch. The next iteration of the operating system for Apple’s wearable device will boast two serious improvements, namely, the ability to connect to known Wi-Fi hotspots without the iPhone and new push complications. Of course, Apple will add lots of stability, security and performance enhancements, but the two features mentioned above are surely the most awaited. The exact date of watchOS 2 release remains unknown. All we know is that it will be made available for public this fall.

Components for Apple Watch Allowed LG Display to Earn $186 Million in Q1 2015



As you probably know, the Apple Watch uses a display manufactured by LG Display. According to the latest report from a research firm DisplaySearch, the orders for the display for Apple’s long-anticipated wearable device allowed LG Display to earn $186 in the first quarter of 2015. This sum makes about 90% of the overall smartwatch display market worth. If you are interested in more facts and numbers, LG Display accounted for 66.8% of the total component shipments with 8 million units shipped in the first months of this year.

New Apple TV Remote Control to Feature Touchpad and Two Physical Buttons?



According to the latest report from reliable sources, the remote control for the next-generation Apple TV, which is expected to be unveilled in June at Apple’s Worldwide Developer Conference, will feature two physical buttons, possibly Play/Pause and Mute, and a touchpad instead of the ring-shaped button for navigation. The remote will become a bit thicker, insiders believe. It should be noted, however, that the aforementioned report is based purely on the rumours and experts’ predictions, so you should take it with a few pinches of salt.

iFixit Team Tears Down Long-Awaited Apple Watch



No earlier than yesterday experts from iFixit posted the results of disassembling the new Apple Watch on their official website. As we reported the day before, Apple started sending messages saying that the long-awaited gadgets had been successfully shipped to lucky ones, who managed to pre-order them. It took only a few hours for experts from iFixit to completely disassemble the device and post the detailed report to the official site.

Apple Begins Advertising Apple Watch in Apple Stores



As you know, Apple on Monday announced the long-awaited Apple Watch, the 12-inch Retina MacBook and the updated MacBook Air and MacBook Pro models. MacBook Airs and MacBook Pros are currently available for purchase, however, the smartwatch and the new ultra thin laptop will hit the store shelves only on April 24th. If you want to buy the new laptop or Apple’s first-ever wearable device a bit earlier, starting from April 10th you will get an opportunity to pre-order any device.

Apple Watch Will Become Available Outside U.S. in April - Tim Cook



According to what Apple CEO Tim Cook told German retail employees last week, in April, the long-awaited Apple Watch will hit the store shelves not only in the USA, but in a number of other countries. Looks like the guys from Cupertino are currently planning to make the wearable device available for purchase in as many countries as possible and as soon as possible. The smartwatch is expected to hit the U.S. stores in the first week of April. In the second half of the month, the sales of the device may start in Germany and several other countries.

Apple Plans to Release Its Car in 2020 - Rumor



According to what reliable insiders write, Apple is currently planning to release its first-ever car in 2020. This may be a fully-electric vehicle with self-driving option. The guys from Cupertino have set a very ambitious aim as normally car manufacturers work for about 5 to 7 years on each new model. However, for Apple this would be the first car ever, that is why 5 years is definitely a short period of time.

Apple to Add Touch ID to Several New Devices?



According to a new rumor, which has been recently shared by the Taiwanese insiders, the guys from Cupertino may soon add the Touch ID fingerprint sensor to a number of next-generation devices, namely, the MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, Magic Mouse and Magic Trackpad. While such a rumor hasn’t yet been confirmed by reliable analysts or Apple suppliers, the addition of a fingerprint sensor may allow users to keep their data secured on every device they utilize. Moreover, placing a Touch ID on a laptop or a mouse can possibly make purchases with the help of Apple Pay even faster and easier.
