Samsung to Produce OLED Displays for Apple Watch and Possibly Next-Gen iPhone?



According to the latest report from ET News via DigiTimes, Apple’s long-term market rival,Samsung, is currently supplying the American tech giant with OLED panels for the Apple Watch. This means that not only LG Display currently produces displays for the wearable device.

Leaked Images Show Next iPhone Rival - Galaxy S6 Active



As you probably know, Apple’s main rival, Samsung, released two new smartphones, namely, the Samsung Galaxy S6 and the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge earlier this year. Both handsets are made of aluminum and have a pretty nice design. According to the latest images posted online by @evleaks, in the near future, the South Korean tech giant will release something called the Samsung Galaxy S6 Active. The rugged version of the flagship device will reportedly feature a 5.1-inch QHD Super AMOLED display, a 14-nanometer Exynos 7420 processor and two cameras, rear and front-facing, with 16 megapixels and 5 megapixels respectively. Looks like there will be no fingerprint sensor. However, the waterproof and dustproof device will get a 3.500mAh battery.

About 200 Samsung Employees Are Working Exclusively on Displays for Apple Devices



According to the latest report from Bloomberg, Samsung has earlier this month formed a separate team, which will be responsible for the development and manufacture of displays specifically for Apple’s iPads and MacBooks. Although Samsung is not the first company that has a special department dedicated to supplying Apple with various components (LG also has one), such a step shows that not only Apple is dependent from its main market rival.

Samsung Announces Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge



Samsung has just announced its two new flagships, namely, Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge. This happened at the annual conference called Mobile World Congress. Both devices are thinner and lighter than their predecessors, moreover, they feature new metal and glass bodies, better cameras and serious hardware improvements. And yes, in terms of design, they look very similar to the iPhone 6.

New Anti-Apple Ads from Samsung [Video]



Samsung has released two anti-iPad Air ads. The first one bashes the lack of true multitasking and the so-called ‘Split Screen’ mode on Apple’s tablet and the second one claims that the Samsung Galaxy Tab S’s Super AMOLED display is better than the LCD display of the iPad Air. Mass-Production of iWatch to Start in November



According to a new report from a well-known and usually reliable KGI Securities analyst Ming Chi Kuo, Apple’s long-anticipated iWatch won’t enter mass-production until November. Previously, it was believed that the manufacture of the smartwatch would start in September.

Looks like the development of the iWatch turned out to be more difficult than the guys from Cupertino expected. There are several reasons for that, namely, a new curved AMOLED screen, a sapphire cover etc.

Apple's iWatch to Feature Curved OLED Display?



Another rumor, which deals with Apple's iWatch, appeared on the Internet today. According to the latest report from Nikkei, the guys from Cupertino will show us their new wearable device in October. Apple Begins Testing 65-inch OLED Panels for Upcoming iTV



Apple has reportedly began testing 65-inch OLED panels for the upcoming iTV. These panels seem to be manufactured by an unknown Korean firm, IBK Securities reports.

Apple was expected to release its long-anticipated television in the second half of 2014, however, it appears that the guys from Cupertino aren't yet ready to start the mass production of the device.
